Feeling frustrated right now.
I purchased my telluride on august 24th. Was told several times and by several people before the sale and after the sale that the arrival date is 9.18.19. They went as as far as to say they haven't seen any delays on my trim (s trim) at all. They are only seeing the delays on the higher trims.
My two previous calls to my dealership to get a status update I'm told they are trying to expedite it and no further details. Today im told the arrival is 9.30.19.
What?!
When I asked what happened to change it from 9.18 to 9.30 I'm just told it's out of their control and they are trying to expedite it. The attitude was not apologetic at all, it just is what it is and I should just accept it and say ok.
I've never worked at a dealership but I have worked in sales for 18+ years. At none of these jobs could I assure and reassure any of my customers falsities without any accountability. I would be written up or fired.
I know others have had longer delays, I'm just wondering was the delivery day always 9.30 and they just told me 9.18 to get me to buy?
Is there any accountability at the dealership? Can they just tell you whatever you want to hear to get the sale? That's certainly what it feels like.
I understand things happen, weather, safety recalls, ships capsizing with thousands of new vehicles on it, but I am not ok with being lied to.
Your thoughts?
