• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Aftermarket badge for Telluride?

Mine did just that, and what happened is, that was original factory logo, came out on the part where emblem is glued on the plastic thing. Just like showed in this video, that plastic part stayed and the emblem came off, And under you can see old dried glue. (If you know what I mean, after that I had to break plastic part pinned in the hood, because it was impossible for me to take it out, and then I just glued new logo in place of that and I did crappy job)
This happened after I moved my car from wet and humid Florida, to dry and colder California, before that I had water pump goes on me, couple of cooling hoses and valves, I should’ve just left it in Florida. But I had no options then. I guess climate change did a job on bmw and my wallet too. Cost me 800$ to ship the car and 3k$ first month in California.

I just ordered front and rear replacement badges for my KIa Tellurude, which is coming soon.
They are custom made and molded for the Telluride, and install right over the original badges.
There is no need to pry off the original badges and risk possible damage. Also, it allows for
easy removal if, for any reason, you want to remove them.
They can be purchased on ebay for $42 for both.

Thanks Sal for the badges. I got them in last week. Waiting to chrome delete our white EX and powder coat our rims black before putting all the overlays on.

Not sure if I want to remove steering wheel badge or overlay.

Sal, we installed one badge a little off center, how do we remove? Do I need to order another, or can I re attach? Thanks

You should be able to remove it the same way as the original emblem was removed... Use dental floss or fishing wire and get behind the emblem - and "saw" through the double sided tape... You can then buy a new piece of tape and re-apply the emblem...

I finally got to putting on my badge kit last night... I got the overlays. If I had to do it over, I would have got the actual replacement badges. These overlays are really thick and it's really obvious that they're stick on's as they there's quite a lip around them. There's no possible way the steering wheel emblem would even fit... it's not even close to the concavity of the current emblem. You'd absolutely have to take off the existing steering wheel emblem... sorda defeats the purpose of the stick-on. The wheel caps are also overlays and are clearly not meant for this vehicle. Again the concavity is not even close. The pack came with these little half circle add-on 3M pieces that I assumed were for filling the gap that would exist between the underside of the cap and actual wheel cap. Also, the caps and steering wheel overlays aren't even the same as the front and rear badge. Overall, pretty disappointed. Maybe I'm just picky but I expected far better quality and fitment for the hundred bucks.

Hi Chris,

Sorry to hear you don't like the overlay set. Most people seem to really like them.

If you'd like, you could return the front and rear overlays and I'll exchange them for the replacement emblems, minus the different in price... Let me know. As far as wheel cap overlays, there are no alternative versions at this point. And the steering wheel emblem is the best fitting option currently available. It's early on and there will surely be improvements - but for the time being there's just not that much out there yet... Send me a direct message or an email if you'd like to do an exchange...

Thank you,

Sal C.

For some reason the piano-black background on the K5 badges are getting “orange-peely.” I’ve emailed them and will see what their response is. It was 100 degrees here on Friday but that’s nothing.. summer hasn’t even started and it will be much hotter. I don’t like how it looks now... very cheap..

Did you remove the protective film after installation? That looks like the protective film in the middle. Ours have the same thing. Beneath that film is a very nice, clean surface. :)

And it still looks like that, huh? Maybe it's a defective emblem...
Yes it appears the entire black decal is shrinking. Needs to be painted or done with legit automotive wrap. In AZ if direct sun hits a black surface it gets hot fast!!

These emblems have been around a LONG time in hot climates. Just talk to the owner and I'm sure he'll help you out.
