• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I am not finding an adequate way to search for this, so for all of those who seem to be upset with a repeat topic, please forgive me and kindly refer me to the spot this may exist. Coming from a BMW X5, I am finding myself missing a power liftgate more often than I thought I would. Is there a known aftermarket, or even dealer-installed way to get this into my S model?

It’s probably still too early. I’m in the same boat with my S. There are a few websites that sell a kit for older Sorrento for about $800 (voxx brand?) and similar is available on sites like alibaba for as low as $300 but I’m sure the struts aren’t the same.

But since half the Tellurides being sold (LX and S models) don’t have it and the other half do, I’m sure Kia or some other brand will offer the kit as production and sales numbers continue to rise.

They supposedly have it for the 2020. We just got our 2021 S and we’re really annoyed that “it’s not available yet.”

I've only seen Voxx advertise the Sorento version. I did find part Kia number 81870s9100 on eBay that is supposedly the Kia Telluride Module for the Power Tail Gate, but that is not the full kit because I think you still need the actuators replaced to actually lift the door. And the plug n play Voxx kit also includes a OEM style button for the front and the underside of the hatch to open and close in addition to the key FOB.

I'm in the same boat. I have a 2021 Telluride S. Lots of nice feature, but I miss my Power Lift gate. Seems like a dealer should be able to get all the parts to upgrade to a Power lift gate. If anyone finds and options, let me know.

The dealer claims that they are awaiting the 2021 revision of a kit that they install and will therefore not void the warranty. We’re still waiting on Information.

This company now makes a Telluride compatible kit. I just ordered one the other day but haven't received it. Power Liftgate Retrofit

This is the only thing I feel is missing. Please update us when you can.

Seems costly for a convenience and an extra device besides the FOB

It uses the button the FOB just like the Kia option on the higher trims.

So you would need a new FOB? My S model doesn’t have the lift gate button

What does your fob look like? Mine has the third button to open the hatch with “hold” that currently does nothing.

My bad; I retract my previous statement

Sorry for the late reply. Installation was done about a month ago. System works pretty much the same as a factory unit and is definitely worth the money. Installation was a lot harder than expected as the instructions are pretty useless. I started installing myself but gave up after about 5 hrs. The biggest issue is figuring out how to remove all the interior panels. The shop I used finished it in about 8 hours (it was their first install). The only thing I didn’t like was that it does NOT work with the factory trunk button on the fob. On some models the manufacture includes a canbus adapter that allows it to work but they don’t have one for Kia. Instead they tie into the unlock signal and open/close when you click the unlock button 3 times in close succession. I will post pictures when I get a chance.

So it needs to be refined then; it’s not as integrated as most people here would want

I also have 2021 telluride s, and would like to have the power lift gate installed, thank you for your information on this.
