• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Am I crazy?

I wish nothing but the best for you and hope you get the deal, but I don’t expect this craziness to die down/supply to pick up until next year. I don’t see much changing through fall

Already purchased....at the worst time too, after they cut off orders for SX-P o_O

I would not pay over MSRP for a Kia, period.

Yup, I did. But I sure as hell would not have paid over MSRP for it.
Honestly, would you pay over MSRP for any car? I don't think anyone normally would, but this is not a normal situation. An SX-P is difficult to get, and will be for some time according to all the information spread across these forums and in the FB groups. These cars are hard to come by and so people are paying premiums to have them. In my situation, I have a lease I need to turn in and can not wait to buy if I want to get my hands on a Telluride SX-P before my lease deadline. I am also fortunate that I can afford to do so.

The "for a Kia" comments are just toxic. They make it seem like a Kia is a terrible brand that no one would want, yet you paid close to forty thousand dollars, if not more, "for a Kia."

You're right, as a general rule, I wouldn't pay over MSRP for any car, unless it was something rare that was going to appreciate in value. Or was something I REALLY just had to have. And you're right again as far as my comment about the Kia brand. I shouldn't have said it like that. I certainly don't hate Kia. I feel they have come a long way since the days of the Sephia! lol. I felt the Telluride was a good "bang-for-the-buck".

So, what are you going to do if you can't get one by the lease turn-in date?

The Sephia...wow.... That car dug them a hole that they are still trying to get out of and the reason for most of the "for a Kia" remarks. Car people that keep up with the market know that they are some of the best quality and value products on the market. I have known as this will be #7 for me since since 2010.

I WILL say, I was very impressed with Kia's ranking in the overall reliability ratings by manufacturer this year.
