I know semi-autonomous driving is at its infancy but it is amazing.
I used the feature last night to drive 150 miles on an interstate highway. While there are obvious limitations, the Telluride tracked incredibly well when traveling in a lane that is clearly marked with limited gaps. The center or left lane is ideal. Right lane, not so much because of the entry/exit lanes. It literally drove itself the entire way!
The HDA didn’t work as expected. Anyone know how it should work? I understood it to automate cruise control speed (while in semi-autonomous mode) on federal highways using the indicated speed limit on the GPS.
To activate the HDA function, I set the cruise speed to match the GPS speed and verified that the “auto” and “HDA” was set, but the HDA disengages for no obvious reason. Any ideas?
Overall, it was to most relaxing drive ever.
