• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I know semi-autonomous driving is at its infancy but it is amazing.

I used the feature last night to drive 150 miles on an interstate highway. While there are obvious limitations, the Telluride tracked incredibly well when traveling in a lane that is clearly marked with limited gaps. The center or left lane is ideal. Right lane, not so much because of the entry/exit lanes. It literally drove itself the entire way!

The HDA didn’t work as expected. Anyone know how it should work? I understood it to automate cruise control speed (while in semi-autonomous mode) on federal highways using the indicated speed limit on the GPS.

To activate the HDA function, I set the cruise speed to match the GPS speed and verified that the “auto” and “HDA” was set, but the HDA disengages for no obvious reason. Any ideas?

Overall, it was to most relaxing drive ever.

When my wife bought her CRV in to 2017 we took our first road trip with lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control and immediately realized we could never buy a car without these features again. You feel so much more rested and relaxed after a long drive. We still obviously pay attention 100%, but you do a little less work that somehow puts me below that threshold that used to leave me relatively exhausted after a few hour trip.

I agree, without SA driving mode I would usually white knuckle the steering wheel the entire time to contend with other traffic. I like the idea of setting the cruise contrril and “relaxing”.

What do you call this features? Is this available on the LX or S models?

It is standard on all trims. I think the only thing only on higher trims is 'highway driving assist' that manages speed limits.

Blind Spot View Monitor is also only on upper trim, I think SX only.

Yes, that's right. Live video for both sides of the car. The lower trims will beep if something is in your blind spot(s) but that's only if you use your turn signal first. Probably the same trigger for the live video.

Blind Spot View Monitor doesnt hanve anything to do with SA ( semi-autonomous) mode since the Telluride doesn’t change lane by itself. It’s an added safety feature at this point.

If you see Kia’s HDA video, HDA was suppose to control speed, change lanes and actively overtake slower cars. Current HDA only does speed but not well.

Used this feature for the first time yesterday, driving back from Ventura back to Los Angeles. It was amazing. Keeps the vehicle in the lane, ensures safe following distance, handles sudden slow downs and stop and go traffic all on it's own. The most relaxing way to drive and such a game changer for me. All I had to do was watch for other cars cutting into my lane and it also did not appear to know how to adjust when I was following a motorcycle.
