• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I posted this a year ago: and the issue is still happening.
Most of the comments were about changing cables and despite me spending top dollar on cables nothing worked.

When AA Wireless came out I got super excited thinking this may solve it for me - but sadly it didn't and I have the EXACT same issues.

It disconnects A LOT. This also happens when I'm connecting my phone directly to the car. . It usually disconnects and gets into this limbo where it keeps switching fast between "reading USB" and "phone is not responding". Other times it just disconnects and sometimes recover after a few minutes and sometimes I have to restart it.

example:
I tool it to Kia and they just washed it by saying "yea we know there's an issue with pixel 3".

Anyone seen that? I did find one post saying "It's likely the wiring harness behind the panel was pinched during assembly" so I may give that a try. Only problem the nearest dealer is 45min away and they don't seem technical at all

since you have already troubleshooted by switching cables, have you troubleshooted by switching android devices? If you are able to get android auto to work well on something other than a pixel 3 (and ideally a device running android 11 or another Google or Samsung device), than the problem is likely due to your pixel 3. If the problem persists on multiple android devices, than the problem may be with your Telluride.

Android Auto has been stable on my Samsung Android 10 OS device and my wife's Samsung android 11 OS device. we have yet to receive the AA wireless device we ordered.

Yes, I tried 2 different pixel 3, pixel 4, and Samsung A32. As well as AA wireless

I have a problem with my pixel 4 repeatedly disconnecting. After changing cables, I had assumed it was the port on my phone. I didn't have access to another android device to try that. But now I guess it could be a bigger issue than just me...

On a semi-related note, I can't get the car to sync contacts. It always says download failed. I've downloaded and reinstalled the app, and made sure all of the permissions are allowed. Possibly another pixel problem?

Recently my Pixel 3 has been pretty stable with AA in the Telly, but I have had some strange experiences. On multiple rides (not recently) I had a problem where it would disconnect if I opened and forcefully closed the center console cover (the big leather thing that you rest your arm on). It was very reliable on these drives, and I could make it happen several times in a row. I was convinced that I had the problem that someone else has reported here, with the harness being "pinched" somewhere. But I can no longer reproduce it. Frustrating. Anyway, maybe worth a try for you guys. If you can reliably prove that it's a car problem, it will make the dealership experience a lot easier.

I had Telluride 2020 which had disconnection issues with Samsung S21 Ultra. Now I traded it for Telluride 2022 and unfortunately issue persists so it does not seems like it is specific car problem. I had the same issue with Samsung Note 9 too before.

I wonder if anyone get any better response from dealership than "tech tested it and it worked on his phone"

I rent cars a lot and all other cars worked with no problem
