• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... twice now ive hit a bump while applying the brakes and i hear and feel a grinding noise that seems like what you feel when you lose traction and you antilock brakes engage?

anyone else have this issue? i did a search, but it came up empty

thanks

I’m having the same issue. Did you ever find an answer?

Are you hearing the ABS noise from the rear? On our '21 the ABS would engage occasionally on the rear when the Nivomat self leveling shocks were bad.

Not sure. Possibly? And i had the rear shock mounts replaced recently and they said the shocks were ok. Not sure if they are tho. But this has happened since day one though. 🤷‍♂️

It's common. Happens to me every so often on my 22. Had the same thing on my 20 before that. Never had it on any other car before, but seems to be normal on the Telluride. Sounds and feels terrible though.

I have the same thing with my 2024, any time I am braking and hit a bump. Dealership checked it and said it’s the antilock brake system engaging as it should. It does sound awful though. And I am concerned it will be a problem on ice.

Finally a thread of my problem! I have a 2023 and from day one if I apply the breaks while going over a speed bump or bump in the road, not fast but not creeping, there is a horrible grinding noise that sounds like it’s coming from the front left right under my feet almost. It sounds terrible. I took it in not long after I got it and they of course said it was fine. I don’t buy it. It’s not a normal sound.
