• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Well, was excited to see the 2021 models were now on the kia website so I jumped online to configure my Wolf Grey SX Nightfall only to find out that the Wolf Grey requires upgrading to the Prestige Package.......Grrrr.... now I need to decide if that color is worth $3k since the other Prestige features are not all that important to me.

@KCEngineer You could try an EX Premium + Nightfall package

True, but I really like many of the SX features.... I'll probably just go with the darker Gravity Grey which was my previous favorite before the Wolf Grey was announced. Just thought I had found my perfect build and a bit disappointed that I may have to compromise. #1stWorldProblems

If I am reading this chart right, Wolf Grey is available with black interior in both SX and SX Prestige...?

Yes but it has to be Nightfall

Correct. But @KCEngineer was concerned that the website was requiring Prestige. According to that color chart Prestige is not a requirement.

Beautiful vehicle and beautiful color, although i’d prefer the stock black rims vs the nightfall ones. However, the Wolf Gray is the color for me for sure.

I love the Everlasting Sliver but i want the Grey interior? Can you get it or does it only come in Black?

Where have you seen thIs actual color of wolf grey ?

Wolf Grey on this K5 looks pretty slick.

Any other pictures of the Wolf Gray? Found the attached one of the front grille on autospies.

And yes, I’m super excited about this one, I think it’ll look really clean!

another detail from autospies is that wolf gray will only be available on nightfall edition tellurides and will only have a black interior. I’m way more of a fan of this than the black copper nightfall - its clean but a bit too one dimensional.
This has been the only picture I could find on the wolf grey color. If it really looks like that it’s going to be LEGIT. We ordered this color and package just from this picture. Boy, I hope that’s really what it looks like.

By the way, the Kia Telluride homepage has been updated to the 2021 and you can check the wolf gray color there!

Is Kia even making the Wolf Grey? If you check failcat.com, there is not even one made this year to date?

No. The promotional material stated Wolf Grey would be available in Sept. So, we should see some in Production soon if they are still on schedule.

Missed that. Thank you!

Missed that. Thank you!

Just put down the deposit for ours in wolf gray (nightfall, SX-P if it helps) at Moritz in Fort Worth. He said since we want the prestige package that adds a lot of lead time due to catching up from the 2020 orders. He said we might not have it til as late as February 2021. No complaints here, just glad I got on the list.

He also limited me to 6 add ons at the factory so I did the more difficult electronic stuff there and will have the dealership do the rest (cargo mats, etc) upon delivery. Not sure if that limit of 6 is a factory thing or dealership.

Either way I'm stoked. Gonna immediately tint the windows and after that don't expect to see many other cars on the road quite like it. Could not be more excited to drive my dream car soon!

That timing sounds reasonable under the circumstances. You will def be one of the firsts with the Wolf Grey! Very exciting. What else did you put on with the 6 limit? And are you at MSRP or above? And is your deposit refundable?

Thank you! I was gonna do the Black Copper SXP but once I saw the wolf gray nightfall, it was an easy upsell haha.

Here are the 6 I chose. These are my educated guesses as to the most "difficult" to install, or things you'd want finished before the local Kia puts their hands on it:
  • Interior Light Kit, Multicolored
    • Still don't know if this refers to the cupholder/floorboard multi-colored lights or just the thin LED wire on the doors. We'll see.
  • Illuminated Scuff Plates
  • Front Alloy Skid Plate
  • Towing Package
  • Cross Bars
  • Side Step Bars
Upon delivery, we'll be asking to install these things:
  • Cargo Seatback Up Mat
  • Cargo Tray, Folding
    • I assume you can "stack" these, only busting out the all-weather looking folding mat when all the seats are down.
  • Mud Guard Kit (front and rear)
  • Rear Bumper Protector
  • All Weather Floor Mats
  • Wheel Locks
  • Glove, Smart Key Fob
The $500 deposit is non-refundable. It's a lot of money, but A) that's what it costs to be on "the list" for this ultra-high-demand car, and B) if something bad happens and we have to back out, we still have until February to make that decision, and "losing" the $500 is worth getting off the hook for a 72-month note, no questions asked. Not unlike being out $500 the inspection of a new house you don't end up buying. Just the cost of doing business.

I just posted this to the "what'd you pay for your Kia" thread, but we're likely slightly above MSRP. Considering we basically went all out on this car - sparing no expense except the overpriced rear seat entertainment package ($1500) - plus around $4K for TT&L, the "out the door" price will be right around $60K. It's a lot, but to quote the dealer: "Everyone's gotta feed their family", which we understand.

We plan to have this car 10+ years, visit every national park etc. with our growing family (6-week-old firstborn and any other babies after). We were made for this Telluride.

Expecting radio silence from the dealership for the rest of 2020 so just waiting it out until then, but if you have any more questions I'll try to answer!

Thank you for all that info. Very useful.

I am considering the same, Wolf Grey SX AWD with Prestige, Nightfall, Tow and Rear Entertainment. Good idea doing all the internal things as POI, and mats (and the like) DOI. I have twins and at their birth went from an SUV to a Toyota Sienna for the extra space. Nine years later, ready to move back to an SUV and the Telluride is precisely what I have been looking for in style, quality and utility. The entertainment system comes in handy on long trips (even two hour trips).

With the long runway, it is worth the flexibility if you have to lose the $500. I should look at it that way as well.

This is the cupholder and floor lighting. The strips on the dash and doors are standard with any SX model.
plus around $4K for TT&L, the "out the door" price will be right around $60K.
If you price out a wolf gray SX + Prestige + Nightfall + every single accessory except rear seat entertainment, it's $53,195 including destination. Adding ~$4k for tax and title, etc still leaves you a bit short of $60k. What else are they hitting you up for?
