I’ve never bought an extended warranty for a vehicle before. Any authorized Kia dealer throughout the U.S. is able to do the work?

For me, after the initial set of tires, I'll be purchasing tires from Discount Tire and the road hazard for tires will be through them.

Yes

I would offer for cost effectiveness, the Platinum coverage as the intent is to get electronics and other major components covered for a full 10+ years. I'd be okay without the wheel/tire/road hazard options as those can be expensive. But, some folks may want that separately.

Platinum for electronics mostly. Stupid question, that may have already been asked elsewhere... How long can someone delay purchasing an extended warranty? I picked up mine in early July.

Telluride on order. No definite delivery date but hopefully end of November or early December '19. Would be interested in the extended warranty info for forum members prior to delivery so I can compare with what dealer offers. I assume extended warranty would provide coverage after power train 10/100,00 and bumper to bumper 6/60k warranty runs out. Would be interested in coverage that would go beyond the factory 5/60 & 10/100,000.

Debating if I should buy an extended warranty on my Telluride SX. Not worried as much about the car as I am about all the electronics.

The extended warranty that covers all your electronics is definitely worth it. I paid 1400 for mine. That covers 10 years or a hundred thousand miles. Considering the fact that your power liftgate components can cost you over $1,000 just replace.
It is definitely worth it. My coworker has a Cadillac CTS, his touch screen monitor went out because of the sun beating down on his dashboard. 4500$ later, I will gladly pay for the extended electronic warranty.

I NEVER EVER buy extended warranties. However, I was concerned about the massive amount of electronic tech on the vehicle (3yr 36,000). I ended buying 'The Mechanic' Platinum Vehicle Service Contract administered through Automotive Warranty Services, Inc. 10yr 100,000 miles for $1198.00, which the finance manager claimed was $100 over their cost.

Perhaps Jason Fox can explain the differences, if any, of the different policies that are being sold. For example, what is the value of buying what Kia calls their "branded coverage" vs any other policy.

I would be very interested in warranty information from jason. I ordered an everlasting silver SX Telluride that should be coming before October 15th. I never realized that the electronics were only covered for 3/36k, that's crazy!
