If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Anyone Purchased from Jim Butler Kia in Chesterfield, MO?

Will pick up tomorrow. Went there today to get the trade appraised and took a peak at it while it was sitting in the service bay getting prepared for delivery. Am glad the wait is over after 1 year and 12 days. Don’t think I’d do it again for a regular car. I hope it lives up to the expectations.
Let us know how the pick-up goes, I understand there is a new manager there now so wondering how the process works now

I’m at the dealership right now. Everything going smoothly so far. We looked at the car, put our car seat and floor mats in it and are setting up that app (my wife is). They lady helping us is nice. Next up is finance.

Overall a good experience and didn’t take long, including going over the car (there really is a lot of tech). I have to say that I stopped by yesterday to get the trade appraised and that I paid cash, so that of course expedited things

Glad to hear, enjoy!

Good luck with yours. I'm at one year from order this week and still do not have a VIN or a delivery date from Van Griffith in Texas. I will never buy a Kia again after this crappy experience with the ordering process.

If you’re in STL, going to Chicago is an easy option. We bought at msrp from international Kia.

Thank you and totally understand. I was very close to looking elsewhere or buying one of the first Mazda CX-90s that was available at a local dealership (but would have been 10k more than the Kia and I try to stick with the principle of never buying the first model year of a brand new model).

I have to say though that I am very impressed with the Kia. I had a 2019 BMW X3 and interior fit and finish are very similar.

I don't want to rain on anyone's parade as I can appreciate the frustration associated with waiting that long. But just want to relate my experience. I had been considering the Telly for a while and went into Kia of Austin last Wednesday to test drive. Was impressed and asked what they had coming in, and so happen they had just exactly what I wanted (White/Terracotta SX Pestige X-Pro)... UNTIL we got to the $10K over MSRP part. I related my opinion of that practice to the sales manager who responded with something like "if I wanted the best vehicle ever built in the history of automobiles that's what I was going to have to pay anywhere. " Challenge accepted!

Went home and got on Car Trader and Car Guru for about 3-4 hours that night, and started making calls the next morning. By that afternoon had located the above mention model with my preferred options (except for a cargo net I could live without) at MSRP with no additional required packages courtesy of Huffines Kia in McKinney, TX... about a 3.5-hour drive. Was supposed to come in next week, but got a call today to let me know it's in and so will do a one-way rental and pick it up this Friday afternoon. So 9 days from first dive to driving it home.

I know that my experience is not typical, and it may be that the stars were aligned perfectly, but also think there are more Telly's out there than the dealers want you to know about. I located probably 2-3 others that were virtually identical at MSRP but had non-negotiable dealer packages of $1-$2K (that didn't include anything I wanted), and if I'd been less picky about the interior probably would have had another 3-4 to pick from. The fact that all the dealers I spoke with had multiple Prestige (did ask about anything else) models coming in over the next month that are not reserved or outright pre-purchased really surprised me based on what I've read here.

So, if any of my story has pissed anyone off as much as the $10K over MSRP did to me, I encourage you to look around, you might be surprised.

I have been trying the exact same thing for the combo I ordered (jungle green, Terra Cotta sx prestige x line) by calling dealers listed on failcat, etc and the best I can find for mine is $8k over. My order is for 800 over and at this time I’m willing to pay a few thousand over just to be over right this process.
