• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hey friends,

Trying to fix my wife's 2020 Kia Telluride SX. I have a leak/loose seal in the front passenger axle connecting to the diff (I think). Dealer wanted a ton of money so I'm doing it myself.

The dealership guy was super nice and provided me the part numbers: 47318-39300 (Boot kit) and 47318-39300 (Cover-Dust).

Has anyone installed these? There is nothing online about installing this. Any help would be appreciated.

As a side note: This is why I love my Jeep wrangler. There is a video for everything.

Thanks friends!

Attached is a PDF of the process to remove the front axle. I couldn't find anything showing the boot repair.

Before moving forward, I've had a Lexus dealer tell me that I had leaky boot on the front axle before. I took it to another shop and they basically said the dealer was wrong and that I did not need to repair or replace the boot. I would either get under there and check yourself, or have someone else look at it. Sometimes it is just a dirty boot that isn't actually cracked or leaking.

If you are talking about a cv axle boot. Tell the service department that you hear a clunking noise. The cv axle is covered under the 10yr 100k mile warranty.
