Hello! I just got my 2023 telluride and also had a 2021 as well! ! One thing I have noticed on both is when Apple car play is activated and I get a call my music plays in the background! Very annoying! I can go in and turn the song off so I can hear the call, but is there a way that it automatically turns off when a call comes in?

What did your Tellurides replace for you?

It’s not normal behavior for the stereo system to keep audio playing when you are in an active call. What is supposed to happen is, any audio music stops playing and even your fan/climate slows down so it is not too noisy over the call.

Have you tried pressing the reset button by the volume knob?

Are you using Apple caplay with the USB data cable or some wireless adapter?

Have you tried another phone in the car to see if the issue is only with your phone?

I am using USB cable and it did it in our 2021 telluride as well! I will try to reset the volume button. It only happens on incoming calls. It stops on out going calls.

When you get an incoming call, what button are you pressing to answer the call? The steering wheel, the infotainment screen or your phone? Maybe try a diffrent method to answer if the one you’ve been using doesn’t stop the music playback.
