Yep! Lol. I want my damn car. But think of the overtime the line workers would make!!Slave driver!
I would think there’s a trade off in quality, efficiency and morale if you take away the weekend from your workforce while you try to hire more people. Besides there are supply chain considerations and equipment/IT maintenance downtime to factor in. It’s probably for the best that casino construction companies who get bonuses for finishing early also don’t moonlight as car manufacturers.Yep! Lol. I want my damn car. Car manufacturers tend to either think FULL CAPACITY is 16 hours per day, or five days a week. Its kind of unique to that business. I managed chemical plants. Full capacity was 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with a two week turn around (shutdown) once every two years. How did equipment run without breakdown for two years straight? Often on critical pieces there were redundant systems, side by side. So one could be repaired while the other beside it was running.I'm kinda surprised their not running 7 days a week to get to the 100,000 increase they reported. I wish we knew how they determined what gets built when - first in, first out? Certain model?
