Would you mind going into detail on how you painted the exhaust? Thanks!Black emblems. Black exhaust. Seems pretty reasonable that ordering a “nightfall” edition would not have light colored accents. Painted the exhaust last week, and had the emblems wrapped today. I will order black emblems as soon as they come available.

I used vht brand gloss black engine paint from my local auto zone. Two bolts and I believe three hangers hold the exhaust in. Spray wd40 on the rubber hangers and slide the back portion of the exhaust out. I then used a scotch brite pad to scuff the exhaust. Gave it about 4 coats. Removing the exhaust took under two minutes and reinstalling took less than 5 minutes. Here are a couple pics I had on my phone.Would you mind going into detail on how you painted the exhaust? Nice work! My car is a couple months old now. Do you happen to have any advice on cleaning the metal before scuffing and spraying?I used vht brand gloss black engine paint from my local auto zone. Mine was pretty new so it was clean. I just used denatured alcohol. Maybe hit it with a wire brush if it’s real dirty. Then scuff and wipe with alcohol.Nice work! My car is a couple months old now. Do you happen to have any advice on cleaning the metal before scuffing and spraying?

It was easy, and I was concerned that if you were far enough behind you might see a black tip and the exhaust not painted. I even painted the heat shield, again because it was such an easy project. It was less than an hour of extra work to prep the exhaust and paint it. May as well paint it while I’m there and have the extra paint in the can. I’d rather take the extra hour and no additional cost to make sure the job is done right.Any reason you painted the entire exhaust? Seems just dropping the exhaust and painting the tips would achieve the look.
