If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Is this true? Saw this today on Facebook.....what is going on? I placed my order Dec 7 and put down a (refundable) deposit and received my order printed out and an 'order' number (request ID). But this makes me nervous!

***ATTN CUSTOMERS AWAITING ORDERS****
Please check your order status after next Monday with your dealers.
Kia has informed low volume dealers that if they do not have the “allocation” to serve all of their orders that orders will be deleted.
The dealers will not have the accurate information on your order until after Monday.

If you do not get a order sheet printed with your name on it you do not have an order. This includes folks that may have gotten sheets already.
As a dealer I want all people to love the Telluride sand their experience and I couldn’t imagine waiting months to receive a vehicle and finding out I wasn’t going to get it due to poor communication. Don’t wait on the dealer to tell you. Contact them after Monday.

Ah, here we go again. Read the comments in the "Order to Delivery time" thread from the posts below. We have authorized dealers on this forum who provide accurate information - they haven't confirmed this yet.

Here is the start of the comments - it was posted yesterday.

I have read the comments, yes all of them. I'm an avid follower of this forum. It was from the KIA Telluride Facebook page. How do you know it is officially incorrect?

Do you have a screenshot of the source or the poster that you saw post it? Does that person have any credibility or credentials that would make them a reliable source?

The people that are on this forum are verified, high volume dealerships. We know what we are getting where we on here - not out there.

Yes I read that........

Yes Andrew A Fisher posted it on the 'KIA Telluride Owners' Facebook page. It appears he is a general manager at Serra Gardensdale KIA. I was looking for someone on this forum that I could trust since I wasn't sure about this Facebook post. I read this forum day and night while waiting for my Telly to arrive.

Combined with @Jason Fox 's "Mothership" update thread about Kia calling dealers to confirm orders, I think there is at least enough evidence to support that something is happening. I'm not saying I believe the details from the Facebook post, but that doesn't mean it's not prudent to check on your order.

Thanks, I wouldn't panic yet. Serra Gardensdale KIA is NOT where you want to place an order... it is a small dealership that has had ONE prestige allocated to them back during the initial run (the Moss / Grey unit). They didn't receive ANY prestige allocations during 2019.

He could be re-posting a rumor, or he could have interpreted Corporate's actions differently. Jason Fox (authorized dealer) reported that Kia asked their dealership about the oldest orders they had on the books and wanted proof that a person actually ordered it. His dealership did that and provided the proof. If a dealership couldn't provide proof that an actual customer had an order, I imagine Corporate would cancel that order.

The issue is that some (lower volume) dealerships have more orders than their monthly allocations would support - so the queue could become too long (extended wait time for customer / never receive it). Corporate is probably reaching out to those lower volume dealerships to ensure that they can fulfill the orders in a timely fashion for the customers, but some dealerships are are not trustworthy and hence don't get the allocations. We had another customer on the forum who was looking for an SXP, and he had ordered at a Dean McCrary dealership - another dealership that has not received more than 1 Prestige vehicle since March (they simply weren't being allocated to those dealerships for whatever reason). So, that customer would likely never have received his prestige order - he ultimately found it via the spreadsheet on the forum and called dealers with an incoming unit.

So, there could be SOME truth to the comment.

There is truth to this.. will be posting a large updated thread here in a minute... big changes to the ordering system being implemented... will be much better for the consumer.. let’s go KFOS system!

Definitely interested in the new changes - to be honest, the process thus far was sort of souring the Telluride for me so hopefully good stuff in the pipeline.

Someone asked about this in the other thread the other day and didn't get a response... guess some changes are afoot! Probably to keep a dealership from placing too many orders relative to their allocations. Interesting...

As long as I don't get screwed in some fashion (i.e. my order cancelled or pushed way out into oblivion)....

New thread posted!

New thread posted!

Stephen I have read the post about KFOS. I ordered an SXP from Moritz 11/9 I am assuming they have been using the ordering system correctly because every Telly they get in is already sold. Do you think I need to contact them about my order?

Moritz is a good group they should be just fine

Moritz has kept me in the loop about my EX that I ordered. Like you said, they can't keep them on the lot. The GM took quite a bit of time to inform me about the two ordering systems and how they worked as well as showing me the actual paperwork. I've been happy with them so far. Car should be built in February and then delivery in March... Woo Hoo.

SVoight when did you order?

I ordered the end of December and they entered the order the first part of January. They received confirmation of the order and that they had enough allotments for it about a week ago.
