• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Have a 2020 S and I have two issues that I wanted to ask. I rebuilt my car so I don’t have the luxury of going to the dealer.

My trunk will only ever open if the key fob is near it. Meaning if the car is unlocked, turned on, parked, or off it will only ever open if the key fob is next to it. When it’s on I literally have to get out the car with the fob and go near it. Which in turn causes alarms to go off that the keys have left the car while it’s on. I’m assuming this isn’t right?

Secondly when I get into the car and start it normally the auto lock engages the minute you switch from parking to drive. But in my car while it’s stuck in park it’ll try to engage the auto lock but will fail to do so because it’s in park. Does anyone have any idea what might be going on?

You rebuilt your car......meaning it was wrecked and you rebuilt it? Sounds to me like BCM issues that will need to be addressed.
