• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... In January, I ordered a Telluride from Crain Kia of Fayetteville, AR at MSRP plus a hokie dealer add-on package of $2,000. Received a call from dealer that car is to be delivered on August 8, 2020. Asked the sales person to send a Vin number so that I could get insurance. Later that day, another sales person called and said that they would not honor the previously agreed on price, but would sell it to me for an additional $3,000. I told him that was blackmail and I wouldn't agree to it.
I could force the issue in court, but decided I didn't want to do any business with a crooked dealer. I know the dealer is winning because they can sell it for more, just not to me. I sent complaints to Federal Trade Commission, Better Business Bureau of Fayetteville, Kia North America Consumer Affairs office( what a joke) and posted on several FB groups. Had complaint ready for Arkansas Attorney Generals office but did not send it. Anyway, now looking for a new dealer somewhere around Oklahoma. Thanks for letting me vent.

On my S trim I purchased in June 2021 from Oakes Kia in Kansas City, the dealer added these items below from the factory. Note that I myself did not order the Telluride from the factory, I got one that was already on order by the dealer (took about 6 wks to arrive).
  • Glacial White Pearl Paint ($495)
  • Carpeted Floor Mats ($210)
  • Carpeted Cargo Mat w/ Seat Back Protection ($115)
    Auto-Dimming Mirror w/HomeLink* ($350)
  • Interior Lighting ($450)
The last two items are basically worthless to me and would not have ordered them myself, especially at that price. But a side note here. even though I may not like these features, they may be worth if resold. :)

*The Auto Dimming Mirror with digital compass and HomeLink® automatically dims the harsh glare of reflecting lights. The HomeLink® feature allows you to program the mirror to activate your garage door(s), estate gate, home lighting, etc.

Tell him you will leave bad reviews EVERYWHERE. This will make them change their tunes real fast. Well, at least the dealers that actually cared about reviews.

If you are referring to my post above, I say in my post that I purchased this Telluride knowing that it had those extras. They were already on the order from the dealer. By not ordering the Telluride myself from the factory, I saved months of wait time. My dealer experience was overall excellent.

The dealer doesn't care, all they are after is the profit. I told them who I was going to contact and did contact them with the exception of the Attorney General. I found that they have other negative reviews, but don't seem to care.
