I can't even imagine what a black edition will do to wait times.

We were promised a special edition Stinger after the Yellow launched. It never came and was scrapped. Sometimes they are a Go and other times a No.

Probably black everything out. No chrome or satin anywhere.

All I want for Christmas is a Black/Butterscotch SX with Tow package. I am starting to think it will be more like Valentine’s Day or Easter before it actually does get here.

Was that in Canada? I noticed the blacked out S model wheels which I think is what comes on the Canadian SX models as well. I see the factory fog lights which leads me to believe it is an SX though so guessing Canada. From what I can tell from the picture its Plasti-Dip on all the silver pieces from the wheels up tot he roof bars which honestly is a great look. Though I personally don't love it on the Moss Green, Im sure others will. I had a very good shop near me quote $500-750 to "de-chrome" my SXP when it arrives in this way so would be very interested to know if an actual Black Edition is coming for sure.

@Jason Fox - When is the next Dealer Meeting? Does Kia usually announce things like that at those meetings?

Kia floated the idea of a black accent option during the focus group. I believe that they are under consideration of offering this some time in the future.

What that will include
• Black Edition exclusive Kia logo (front and rear) • Black Edition exclusive radiator grille in black finish • Black headlight bezels • Gloss Black roof rails* • Gloss Black window surround molding • Gloss Black skid plates (front and rear) • Gloss Black front bumper air ducts • Gloss Black lower-door garnish • Gloss Black exterior emblems
And ofcourse the awesome 20in black rims that are on the SX now available for the EX, but only in the Black Edition package

Bienvenidos mr goshhkia guy. Glad you could join the forum and share such valuable information in a stale thread. Especially by replying to one of our top dealer's posts from... November 2019!!! Not to mention all of this has been posted more than a week ago in the 2021 Telluride Training Material thread. So crack open a bud light, mr goshhkia, and keep sharing such valuable info. Maybe on your second post you'll share something that we need to read.

I know you like to patrol this place and try to avoid double postings of info but that was really snarky. I know sometimes things don't come across the way we mean them when put in text but dang man, that was rough.

100% agreed. Seems to be getting a little overboard lately, but again, it's hard to read intent online, but that, as well as some other posts lately have been getting rough.

Yep ... they talked about this during the focus group last year. I think that Kia saw that users were wanting to black out all the chrome on their Telluride's and saw an opportunity to offer this as a factory option

So you know, I actually really appreciate you trying to eliminate double posts and then also linking people to previous threads discussing their issue or questions. It’s really helpful to the posters because sometimes seach just isn’t giving you what you need and it keeps the boards really nice.

It's a car specific forum. Most subjects over the years have been duped numerous times. Sometimes, those guys who wore diagonal orange belts in elementary school have never gotten over their ego trip and designate themselves as the Dupe Police.
