• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I'm looking to sell this Max T Bull Bar from Black Horse for $180. (does not include light bar)
Looks awesome, great build quality. However, there are some notes here that I want to make clear -
  • This will not fit while fog lights are installed. If you have fog lights they will have to be removed to make room to mount this.
  • The front sensors are partially blocked, so when the camera is on it beep at you.
  • This does NOT effect the adaptive cruise control or auto emergency braking.

I'm located in Spanish Fork, UT. Local pickup is great but can ship at buyers expense

I have a few questions -

Can you provide an estimate for shipping to Houston TX?

And is it supposed to be black in color? Looks gray. I was interested in the non-textured version (just called Max) which seemed black. Could be the lighting in your pics.

I also have an SX, I read the fog lights can be remounted towards the center. Hopefully this is the case as I will have a shop install do this, should I get a bar.

Also, about the sensors…(not that it would be in best interest but) can they be turned off so as not to be interfered with the bar? Sounds like it doesn’t interfere with the radar, just the ones in the bumper. And is the camera feed blocked by the bar much?

Thanks

Sorry for the delay getting back to you.

It is a textured flat black color, the reflection of light off the bar in the pictures give it a gray look but in person it's very much black. Regarding moving the fog lights in, if you can do that that would be great. I had gotten a quote from a local shop that could fabricate a new mount for the bar, but my wife couldn't get on board for the price :(
And yes, the forward sensors only turn on when the front camera is on when you're in Drive. If the camera is on and you're reversing the sensor doesn't alert. But if you're in drive with the camera on and it's beeping at you you can just push the button in your center console to disable to warning for that moment. I dont know of a way to permanently turn it off, but it's just a quick button click away so it's not too inconvenient.

As far as the camera goes, it really doesn't block much, and really you're seeing what you should since with this bar mounted that's pretty much what you want to be looking at since it's the thing sticking furthest out the front.

I'll get you a price for shipping to Houston by this evening

Looks like FedEx home delivery would be the cheapest option would be about $95. UPS ground would be about $105

Thanks for the response and info.

Just a suggestion but why not use the feed from the fog lights to power a light bar. This would require disconnecting the fog lights. You could then run a lead back to interior
and put a switch to open the circuit when the light bar is not needed. Easy DIY project.🖖
