• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi everyone, I am a newbie. I just picked up my white model S last Saturday. I love it and it is beautiful and gets a ton of looks while driving and parking. I really wanted the black wheels but could not swing the extra 5k$ to go up to the next trim level. I'm thinking I will eventually put the black rims on it but looking for suggestions on if I should buy OEM rims or get the genuine KIA ones. Anyone have any experience with this notion?

Thanks!

Yes I have the experience. OEM means genuine KIA ones, that’s a start. Going this route will cost you close to the $5k you couldn’t swing. So the solution is aftermarket. $150-$250 per rim.

You could also get your rims powder coated. Gives you more flexibility with colors/tones — should be around 100-150 per rim. I have dark gray rims on my tesla and they look great and unique. But I do love the black rims on my SX.

I got the S trim and mine had the 20" black rims. Love em BTW.

It's cheaper if you go aftermarket, I have a s model and was thinking about putting these wheels on.
