• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Just noticed this, this weekend. at higher speeds my right blind side monitoring doesn't work. my left (driver) side seems fine but my right side can't see the vehicles as I pass them. it doesn't even find 18 wheeler trucks. the signal doesn't show on my HUD or the mirror. thanks

Sounds like a dealer visit since you’re having multiple problems

What is your speed differential with the cars you’re passing when it “isn’t working?” If there is a large difference in speed, it won’t show. If you are passing other cars with a low differential in speed and it still isn’t showing, then you might have a problem.

Thanks. I actually slowed down to check that and it still didn't show. Middle lane passing cars on the left and right and only the left shows

If my memory serves me correctly, it only detects cars that are approaching from behind, it does nothing to cars that you are passing or just passed.

I posted a similar response in another thread.

Blind-Spot Collision Warning Light in Door Mirrors

But since the issue is only on one side for you:
  1. Do you have a bumper bully installed or anything that obstructs the rear bumper?
  2. Did you buy the car used? If so it may have had rear collision damage to the sensors in the bumper.

If my memory serves me correctly, it only detects cars that are approaching from behind, it does nothing to cars that you are passing or just passed.
After monitoring my BCW indicators on a drive the other day, it can and will for car you are passing. But I found it did not detect every single car this way. More like every other car.
