Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... where is the wiring located for the running board. I have the one I purchased from amazon and I wanted to add a strip light to it but I'm not sure where the electrical is located

Did it come in? I can’t find a link but it looks nice. Is it something that only lights up when you’re about to get in or does it always stay on?
I'm waiting to get a replacement bracket, but once everything is installed, I plan on taking it to the dealership to wire it in. My friends and I tried looking for the dome fuse to tap into, but couldn't find it.

I was able to install the driver side, but the rear bracket for the passenger side was half an inch short so I'm waiting for the replacement before I'm able to finish the install. Once it's installed, I'll take it to the dealership to tap it into the dome light. I want it to come on when the dome lights are activated.
I saw these at the dealership and the light comes on when you open the door and lights off when it’s closed . So I’m assuming there’s electrical somewhere

I returned the running boards as the company was giving me the run around with the shorten bracket. They were telling me to retrofit it with a longer screw or put a spacer in there. Sry, but I'm not going to be retrofitting anything to a product that should be an easy install. I however, did manage to grab the sweet sweet deal of the Dark Horse running boards for under $90. Even though these don't light up, it'll hopefully be headache free.
