I recently had the front windshield replaced on my Telluride and immediately noticed a strong whistling noise coming from the front windshield area at highway speeds. The repair shop performed a pressure test where they cranked the cabin fan up and put soap and water around the windshield to spot any leaks which they didn't find.
I feel like this is a flawed test. Going 100km/h creates far more air pressure than a fan would... and I believe the cabin has exhaust vents or holes that allow positive air pressure to escape outside... so all the positive pressure from the fan would vent there first and not through a small hole in the windshield seal.
I'm looking for advice on how to better detect a leak in the windshield, and also wondering if anyone knows where the cabin vent/exhaust ports are?
Thanks
