California Telly Owners! *tips, recommendations, etc.*

Gave I-25 a call. Was told that they happen to have a one with a different exterior - Dark Moss with N/T/P arriving on 06/29. Booked it. If I luck out and get a Gravity Gray, I’ll switch. Thanks again!

Shipping cost to CA is $1500.
Excellent. We'll see which one hits first. Transportation costs seem to be rising, I think there is a shortage of drivers, but plenty of work and goods to be moved.

Congratulations on getting your car! Would love to see some pics!

I originally checked with Hilltop and they indicated the long timeline you mention. Then, I looked at their allocations and it was really low. Not good for a high demand, low supply vehicle.

So, I searched failcat for high volume dealers, that had no or low mark up. i25 near Denver, Colorado has high allocations and at the time of ordering I was 11th in line.

Take a look at my signature, the timeline is going to be about 7 weeks from initial contact to delivery. As always in life, it's your time or your money. This is a little wait time, with a little "dealer document" mark up. I am flying in from So Cal. Then road tripping home.

Perhaps call i25, place a refundable deposit and see which one comes in first. Either way it will be a 2022.

i25 KIA
$500 fully refundable deposit, (MSRP) + Dealer Fee $695 + Doc Fee $32.19 ($727.19) Add on.

Delivery option est. $1,000 uncovered, $1,300 covered transport
I am doing this exact same scenario. So far i25 has been simple and honest about the dealings. Convinced the wife to take the fam out and we will drive back. Let me know how the process goes, so tired of socal Kia dealers.

Congratulations on getting your car! Would love to see some pics!
Flying out on Saturday morning.

6-8 months wait at Hilltop Kia doesn’t seem to be accurate. It’s more like 10-12 months. I ordered mine on 10/29/2020. I enquired on 04/12/2021 and they didn’t confirm that it was sent to KFOS. They said it might be another 4-6 months till I get my SX AWD.

P.S When I ordered in Oct I was told it was more like 4-5 months and to expect the car in Mar/Apr.
Similar situation. Ordered about the same time. Last month they said they were on September orders, so I think they must be doing October now.

I am in SoCal and was shopping for a Telluride in 2020 from the north valley down to Orange County. All the dealers wanted a high markup. An earlier poster said he ordered from Car Pros in Huntington Beach at MSRP. Well, I been there a few times and they won't budge below MSRP+$8K, even in January of 2021. So, maybe you can be lucky if and when they do sell at MSRP.

I found I-25 Kia in Colorado that was selling at MSRP, so I ordered one in August 2020. Nice people to deal with and no hassles. While visiting my son in Colorado in November, I stopped by the dealer to just say hi. I went to Colorado again in February to pickup my Telluride, stayed a week visiting son, drive in the snow in Colorado, and drive back home to SoCal. When I ordered, there were over 60 people ahead of me. I-25 Kia is a high volume dealer.

Just placed an order at i25 Kia with Dominic. Process was really simple and they were incredibly helpful. I am getting it shipped from Colorado to NorCal. He said it could possibly come by end of June.

Telluride EX with Bench Seat
Gravity Grey
Nightfall Custom Conversion (they don't sell nightfall with Bench seats!) I'll keep everyone posted!

Hi everyone! I'm in Socal and I have a couple all weather mats that will be available in about 2 months.

One is the 60/40 Canadian all weather mats, and the other is the OEM cargo tray.

Please let me know if you're interested :)

That Canadian mat will be awesome for whoever takes it!

Also, as a tip for SoCal people, the dealers will sometimes offer a straggler vehicle at MSRP to meet their quota if you're open to trim and color. The way to get the updates is to inquire via email and then let them know you will buy at MSRP only. Weeks later, we have gotten follow-ups that they are willing to sell one at MSRP that day. The latest was a Sangria EX at Irvine. But we would rather work with an up-front dealer and get exactly what we want.

What’s the difference between US Canadian 60/40 cargo mat? Any pic of the Canadian version?

thx

Any idea how long it takes from placing the order to delivery? I tried to reach them several times but they aren’t giving any info on whether the order was placed yet or how long it’s going to take.

I strongly recommend taking to I25 Kia if you are ok with the additional shipping and documentation costs.

I also looked into Hilltop and they said closer to 9 months. That’s why I ended up going with i25. They were a lot more confident. Worth the extra cash and they were incredibly attentive and responsive.

It is like the carpet version where the two sides fold independently. Except the canadian one is all weather, not carpet.1619035353009.webp

Thx for the pic. I definitely want the non-carpet mats but I am waiting for car as well. Hopefully yours is still available by then.

Followed your suggestion I asked Cerritos Kia about a car they have in stock. They still want $10k over msrp, lol...I had planned to offer $2k over because that’s how much extra I have to pay buying from I25 (fee+delivery) but after seeing their asking price I didn’t even bother to reply. Their car is not exactly what I want and has more options than I need anyway, but it‘s good to know the local markets.

I would just claim the cargo liner now if you want it. She only has it because of a group buy for a bunch of us in SoCal. I am still waiting on a car but participated in the group buy as it is the only 60/40 all weather liner. The liner is on backorder in Canada for at least a month. Once this one is claimed, you're looking at a significant price increase to get one shipped to you from Canada (see Canadian Dealer Selling Telluride Accessories )

Yee,

Didnt know how to send you a message so I started a conversation with you.
thx
