If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I placed an order 11/21/2021 on an EX with no additional options in Texas. The following day I asked my Salesperson that I want to add tow package. He said once they get the deposit the order is placed and there is no change that can be made plus it will make the order wait even longer. Is this normal seems odd ?

Have them cancel it and place a new order. It should only put you back a week.

Orders can be changed until they're accepted info KFOS, which is normally 1-3 months after the order is placed. It may the policy of the dealership you ordered from not to change orders, but it is certainly possible. If they'll let you, I'd recommend placing a new order since yours was very recently placed.

Which dealership did you order from?

3-6 months
I ordered from them as well on 6/4. We talked about a 3 month wait. I ordered an EXP GG Nightfall. I do not have an eta yet. Someone here on the forum ordered from them mid-April and got their telly in early/mid July, so 3 months. My salesperson told me Mid Sept that they'd recently received a vehicle ordered 5/25 so hopefully mine would be soon. However if you research here on the forum and failcat you will see they are a pretty low volume dealer for better or worse....more time to save a larger down payment and you're only paying MSRP.

That’s good to know man I hope it’s not too long. Did the dealer ever tell you where you were in the order line ?

Maybe not especially relevant but I placed an order with Sussman kia in Pennsylvania on Oct 18th. I was allowed to modify my order on Oct 23rd which I believe was 2 days after they charged my deposit. This is the form they sent me a copy of. Maybe a dealer rep can explain what the form is exactly.

As a side note, as long as you're okay without the suspension upgrade from the tow package, you could just buy a tow hitch kit and the OEM bumper piece and install that yourself for probably cheaper than factory. I installed a hitch kit on a 2013 GMC Terrain in the past and it was a pretty simple job, took about an hour for someone with no car work experience.

He couldn't really. He told me I was one of the first 2022 EX orders entered, but I he didn't seem to be accounting for prior 2021 orders that were coverted to 2022 or maybe not other salespersons orders. They've had EX AWD come up on failcat since June and none of them were mine. He also is unable to tell me if my order has been accepted by KFOS, not all salespersons are familiar with and know how to look that up. When I've checked in with him, he has let me know about other incoming Tellurides that are their allocated vehicles that are available, but I've opted to wait.

l spoke with the finance manager he said KIA was encouraging dealers to install whatever additional accessories they could to avoid any delays. He said I could get everything that’s in the tow package from KIA for the same price. Told him to put that in an email. Nothing so far
