My car is here! Picking up the car in a few days Ordered July 31. SXL nightfall. I could have it tomorrow but they’re tinting the windows for me. Can’t wait! The sales guy wouldn’t believe me the the rims were 7.5 wide so he went to check. Lol.

In Canada,

Ordered 2021 Glacial white August 11 2020 SX Limited. Black Nappa. Cant get those black OEM mags in Canada so going with stock which look good. Changed my mind about colour and and two days ago changed it to "Ever lasting grey" which is the lighter of the two greys offered to Canadians and the stock mags have matching grey in them. I have had two MDXs, a 2002 and a 2014, both excellent vehicles. So replacing the 2014. The 2021s which are just about to come out are up there in price.
They basically want your first born child. Canadian 2021 SX Ltd which is the same as SX Premium in states, taxes in $65,000 for comparable MDX 2021, easily $80,000.

the tinted windows were thrown in for free as part of the deal.

Dealer (West Edm Kia) said it came in Monday, although that just could have been when he checked.

You should probably follow up on your order. I am in the process of buying one now and have only been told the wait should be 4-6 weeks. The dealership I am working with is adamant they can do it in 4 weeks, since their last two orders of the Nightfall edition were fulfilled within the same time frame.

Yeah, it looks like the nightfall is getting fulfilled in this time frame. However, My order is still the odd SXL without nappa that was available back in May so this might be the reason. I know few people that ordered in April just received theirs so I guess that’s how it goes. My dealer stated the car is on its way but he was unable to give me any other details so I wonder if that is the case or he is just saying it. Anyway, I guess I’ll have to wait and see.

You won't be getting a 2021 SXL without Nappa unless you get the Nighsky, so my guess is yes that is where your order is messed up.

I would walk into the dealer and ask what's up because you are getting either Napa or a Nightsky.

IMHO....Extended warranties are money makers for the merchant. You are basically betting $3200 that your purchase is going to break down.
Most electronics today are solid circuit boards, so much more durable when protected. If they work when you test them at purchase then its a very good bet they will still be working 8 years later. You may hear the occasional horror story, but that's going to happen when you are dealing with hundreds of thousands of cars. I have been buying new cars since 1981 and have never taken further extended warranties other than what's offered by the manufacturer. But, each to their own and I respect that.

Yes, I plan to keep telluride for 2 years, then change it to a new car.
If you have driven one car for 14 years, I have changed two dozen during this time and I can really appreciate the build quality. I don’t make a sacred cow out of Telluride like you. Nice car for good money, but build quality is shit. I'm realist.

I arranged for 3 cars, but the guys refused, they say it is expensive . Regardless, the dealer kept the offer to me. If you are in Calgary, I can give the coordinates, these prices will be valid.

Just so everyone knows since you decided to call out people, You went and asked for a price for a 3 person group buy, on your own without asking us, then you get upset because we declined as $90 was not that huge a discount to us at this time...

I really am glad you got them, and you are happy (well as happy as you can be, because you are one miserable person).

In any case, the dealer is ready to give that price. whoever is interested can contact, who cares - let them wait further.

@GreekWiz , as I already wrote to you, I do not make a "sacred cow" out of telluride. I understand that driving one car for 14 years is an abyss and telluride for you to become a "sacred cow".
But, this is just a car, a car with an excellent balance price - option/size (and nothing else) and poor build quality (which is typical for many foreign brands made in the USA). You may think that I am a pessimist, that's your right. Koreans have a very good marketing strategy and this is the only way to win. But as you know, marketing to the end consumer is dust in the eye. Be honest and admit that you bought it just because of this. For example, lately, I only buy Koreans for this reason.

35 days from order to delivery is pretty impressive. When I was called yesterday, my dealer apologized for the wait and when I told him I ordered Aug 1st, he said he was calling people who ordered in March.....

Ours must have come in together. They called me yesterday as well because mine had arrived. 21 days since I ordered! I’m getting a hitch installed and PPF so won’t pick up for a few days.
