• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Canadian 2021 Telluride

Here is my invoice for comparison. Hope it may help some thinking of buying.I feel I got a pretty good deal. MSRP is $57979 For limited nightfall. We picked ours up last week. Overall very happy with it so far! Sales were great and no pressure to deal with and we had it in just under 4 weeks from order.

$3169 under msrp if my math is correct. $63k out the door is what I negotiated before adding the $448 in extras.

I’d say you did well. It’s interesting that they discounted the MSRP even before putting it on the purchase agreement, I wonder why they did that?

Ok my math doesnt work out. Lol.
I was thinking I paid without extras...
63k - 13%=$54810
57979-54810=3169 below msrp.
But that's not correct. It's late. I have been thinking I got a better deal all along than I actually did.

It's also not a Nightfall in Canada, it's a Nightsky in Canada, I assume you know that, but your signature says Nightfall.

The Limited is correct for Canada, the Nightfall is not.

We agreed through email on a final purchase price of $63k before the invoice was written I guess. I never seen an invoice until I picked up the vehicle. It is confusing now I look at it.

Thanks. I have been reading too many American posts lol

My thinking was he clearly lied to me. I can't see kia Corporate telling individual dealerships to not give more then a $500 discount. Manufacturers deal with the manufactur discount and incentives and dealerships are free to negotiate a further dealer discount at whatever price they wish.

So that left a bad taste in my mouth. Especially after making myself informed in this group where many have posted deals they have been getting. Especially with the car now being past the first year of production.

If you are in Ottawa, I would highly recommend dealing with Carleton Place Turpin Kia. Andre was very helpful even prior to our decision to buy. They have the highest ratings for Kia dealerships in the area.

Looking to see if any fellow Telluride owners in Calgary or surrounding area would be interested in getting in on a group buy from the USA for the Shark Racing - Proximity Smart Door Lock Module

Telluride owners in Calgary that I know of besides myself are @arvindhraman @T_ride @Western @puma cat

Basically it's an addon that is a pretty simple install (4 wires under dash) that senses when you are close to the vehicle with your key fob and automatically unlocks the doors for you.

Video demo:

NOTE: this will ONLY unlock on SX models from my understanding. Basically if your mirrors go in and out when locking/unlocking, this will work. If your mirrors do not go in and out, it will only lock.

The cost to order direct is $100 US plus $25 shipping (to US), but the group on Facebook has secured some group pricing:

10+ - US$87
20+ - US$80
30+ - US$72

Shipping is probably still $20/$25 to Canada from the group buy organizer, but obviously the more that order, the less for the shipping.

I was thinking of organizing a sub group for us in Calgary, and we can all get them shipping to one location, and then mailed out/or meet up.

The organizer @rwhite4573 and @BRNXBMR are on these forums, and the thread is here:

The install instructions are here:

Video is in the first post (or now above)

I have asked for a couple of days to see if we can get 3 or 4 interested to cut down severely on the shipping costs to Calgary.

Send me a PM if interested, maybe we could get a list of Calgary owners in case something else like this comes up as well.

For others in the rest of Canada that might be interested, please feel free to also make a sub group if you like, the more that buy from the main group (including Canada) the cheaper it gets.

Thanks all.

Last chance to get in on this.

I would be willing to open it up tp all of Canada as opposed to Calgary area if it means us getting a few more orders. You will have to pay for a stamp and a padded envelope from Calgary to me directly, but a hell of a long cheaper then getting it shipped from US or Korea.

The US guys will be shipping all to me and I can distribute from Calgary. Most are in Calgary area, but we have one from Montreal area.

Right now it's 22 of us (US and Canada), so the price will never be lower (already saving $45US). If we get 8 more, it will get even lower.

Ppf and ceramic coated.
Glossier than stock GG.
However, it's a gray week here without rain this week in Montreal so not great sunlight to showcase anything.

yes, the math and bill of sale in canada plays into the hands of the seller.😪

Where did you go for the PPF?
I went to Autobliss Detailing.
I shopped around and it seemed like the best bang for your buck, good clients, work seemed good. Plus not being TopWrap (likely most popular and busy in town this charging the biggest premium), could get an install not too far away so as to get it done while car was still fresh.

Hi I am actually planning to go the TopWrap route for paint correction first. What PPF brand did they install on your Telluride? Xpel , Stek or Suntek?

I installed a hitch on my telly. Would anyone in the GTA have a use for the lower cover that I removed to install the black cover with the spot for the 7-pin connector?

Hi I tried to PM you but I guess PM isn't working on this forum??

Anyway, I was going to install a hitch on mine this weekend. What do you have to do with the lower cover and is there a replacement part that you mention that I need to purchase?
Thanks!

I ordered these two parts from the US:
S9F67-AC500Tow Hitch Harness 7-pin$140.00
S9F61-AU060Tow Hitch Cover$39.20

The uHaul branded CURT hitch that I installed didn't include the the 7-pin mounting bracket so I picked up two pieces from UHaul in Canada.

ok this is great info. I think i have the same one Curt 13420..
Those two parts are Kia parts tho so I'm confused? Aren't they for the OEM hitch?
I thought there was a tow hitch harness all ready there?
Will the two hitch cover work if you don't install a harness (ie just for carrying bikes?

If you're not going to bring out any electrical connectors (i.e. just use it for carrying bikes) you can cut the existing cover out.
This video will be helpful to you:

As any fyi... Kia brought a connector to the rear panel of the vehicle and put a cover on it. The 7-pin Tow Hitch harness plugs in to this connector and has a 7-pin plug on the other side.

A picture of the Tow Hitch Cover can be found here (this picture is upside down, but you can see the rectangular cutout where you can mount the 7-pin or 4-pin harness to give it a finished look):

The other option to to cut the existing panel like in the video and either dangle the connector or have it mounted on the hitch and you just reach under the bumper to connect. I like the finished look with the new panel.

Someone else asked for a picture, so I had one on my phone, hope this helps.
