If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Canadian 2021 Telluride

Not going to try and call them anymore. Going to Volkswagen on Monday to test drive an atlas. See how it is, already pissed off with the dealership and if they say the telluride will be here in such and such time, I'll already have a bad taste and just don't want it. I mean other probably had worse experience with dealership ect...but its more of the principle of it all. If the dealership is already acting like this I cant imagine how they would be if there was a problem with the vehicle when we got it.

Which dealership?

Its just a car , not worth this degree of aggravation for you brother ! Good luck and keep us posted

Exactly man! I mean the buying experience for any vehicle shouldn't be this difficult. I understand the state of the world right now with covid and factories being slow ect...but my goodness a dealership can really ruin everything and we don't even have the car yet lol

totally agree , BUT imagine buying a BMW , exact opposite .............wonderful LUX buying/service experience .................then an expensive car that disappoints in quality and reliability .........................( I got past badge issues and just wanted a solid car , so far Kia has delivered )

Yeah I hear you. We aren't looking at BMW but close to it in VW lol. I mean it literally all going to go down to what happens on Monday. If we decide we don't want the telluride and refuse to give back deposit then not sure what to do.

they will give it back OR sell your deposit to another buyer that wants your car ...............they have a casino going on this car now , but it wont last forever , and you may want to remind them of that !!

When we ordered it we ordered top of the line with captains chairs and nappa leather. He was like this one is the hardest one to get and they dont order it because they said most buyers like the bench seat. When I called back last month for an update my sales guy said Kia is more worried about getting the night sky models out and that those were quicker to get. He then proceeded to try and sell me one of those and asked for another $1000 to get it. I declined. Like I said this whole experience is just turning into a shit show.

I agree with you ..............I've been buying their cars for 4 years now and the dealer experience is so far below the actual quality of their cars ............

Like I said the telluride could have nothing wrong with it and be a great vehicle but say for instance something goes wrong with it how the dealer is acting now could he a deal breaker.

I have the first Stinger delivered in North America ........................ It had a faulty sunroof . Long story my dealer went over and beyond and got Kia Canada to pay for a $7500 replacement .........................from my perspective ( 4 cars now ) service is fine ....................sales ..... not so much ! My dealer pissed me off so much on trading my Stinger for a Telly ! The Telly has given them too much wind in their sail .......................BUT I trust the cars so I'll muddle through this !

UPDATE: just got a call from Calgary Straightline finance manager - my Nightsky gravity gray arrived at dealership today. Confirmation and VIN came as well to me via email. A few days for inspection, prep, and a few accessories; and I pick up next Wed. So a little over two full months from order to owner receipt, not bad.

Dealership would like me to get protective coatings etc via them, but I will handle myself directly via recommendations I've received from others here. Once I have the vehicle in hand I will make decisions on the winter wheels, floor liners, roof rack, tow hitch, and a few other such add-on items.

Out of interest I confirmed that KIA ships vehicles Georgia to Edmonton via rail (and likely onward to Vancouver), and then by transport trailer Edmonton down to Calgary.

So far so good. I'll post an update and a photo or two once I have received the vehicle, as well as any further comments on the overall purchase process.

Just curious did you check out the Pallisade? A lot of the same features as Telluride, and very good reviews. Korean build vs US build I believe. And pretty good availability. It was going to be my fallback to explore if things didn't work out with a Telluride purchase.

Wasn't a fan of the looks and the interior. Was debating on the Nightsky but wife wasn't a fan of it. So we picked the hardest telluride to get in North America lol

I drove an atlas, it wasn’t a bad ride at all.

Just be cautious of the potentially higher cost to maintain the vehicle. A lot of reliability issues with that model initially. Not sure if they got them all worked out or not.

Noticed vw has maintenance package that comes free also could extend it for a extra 500 for 5 years or something like that

Has anyone bought the Kia warranty in Canada? The 7 year 140,000km they offered for $3000. The reason I’m interested is it changes the technology stuff from 3 years to 7 years. Also they say if you don’t make a claim then at the end you get your money back.
did you get any response on this? I was wondering the same but I looked at an outside company Ensurall and a full coverage package 10 years or 200k kms is $2260.73 no deductible. So I'm going to look into this more.

I'm a bit of a sucker for extended warranties. I tend to keep my cars for a long time, and the warranties have always paid off. And with all the electronics in new cars, I worry about future repairs. I just feel better paying now and then not thinking about it. I got a 10 year/200k km.
