• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... What car wax does everyone use ? I’m assuming a good ceramic one , applied (with normal driving conditions ) about 2-3 times a year ?

I had a ceramic coating professionally applied... After that, you get a ceramic booster product from Meguiar's or chemical guys and apply it after washing.
If you don’t mind me asking , how much did the professional application cost ? I think I’ll go that route . I’m assuming the Kia dealerships won’t do it , or if they do , it’s probably less expensive doing it elsewhere ?

Dealerships do it at ripoff prices.

My guy had 2 options: 5 yr warranty for 600 or 7 years for 750 (I think).

First time I ever did this ceramic stuff. I have waxed my car is dozens if not hundreds of times over the years. My current understanding is this. Carnauba wax is old technology and is basically over. Properly waxing a car is a lot of work and you're very lucky if it lasts 4-8 weeks. Ceramic is completely different. The product (pro application) lasts several years. You "tune it up" every time you wash your car (if you want to, not mandatory) with a product from Meguiar's or Chemical Guys (my favorites, quality and reputable). The post-wash ceramic products are amazing. They go on so very easily. It is maybe a quarter of the amount of time and work of waxing a car. Maybe more like 10%. It's nothing . . . and the results are very very impressive. I'm completely sold as you can tell and highly recommend it. Again I've used every carnauba wax product you can think of and every buffer and every everything and I'm not doing that shit anymore 😆

I've skipped the "professional" applications and just use a ceramic spray myself. I've also done every kind of waxing known and its so easy now. My routine is wash the car often and when it "feels" like it needs it, hit it with a clay bar until it smooth and follow up with a ceramic spray. It usually the same places on the Telluride, behind the wheels and the rear hatch that get these road accumulations. After washing it, this takes no more than 30 minutes. The car has that buttery smooth new car feel and looks great. No, it might not last for years as the professional application state, but its so easy to reapply, I'll spend the $100's elsewhere.
