Would love to see it if you do it.Has anyone ever used carbon fiber on their dash accessories?
Was thinking about doing it here...
if this is a car with a self charger, don't lay metal objects in that charging tray for it will damage the charger if it happens to be turned on. Also don't lay billfolds for the credit strips could be ruined on credit cards. I leave my self charging try in off position in case of an accidental metal object falling in.Has anyone ever used carbon fiber on their dash accessories?

That is exactly what I was planning to do. Did you have to disassemble anything to do it or did you do it in place?Did it. I still need to finish the wireless charger area.
How about some details/tips on how to get the pieces apart?I took absolutely everything apart. They were just shells and I wouldn't do it any other way. I feel much more confident that nothing will peel back.
I will take more pictures when I get the lid done tonight.
Did it. I still need to finish the wireless charger area.
Looks great!! Do you have more photos? Did you get the front cover done? Did you take any photos as you were doing it? step by step?FYI: I used the Vvivid Epoxy Carbon Fiber film. It took a lot of trial and error and you will need a heat gun. I went through 5 rolls of the 12" until I got perfection. Much better scratch resistance.
Thanks for the idea, that looks great.Yeah I will tomorrow about the steps. Once you get the shift knob pulled up and out the rest is just clips to get out. Then unplug harnesses and then remove all the screws to get the plain black piece. Will report back tomorrow.
Did you remove the parts or just did it in the car? I’m nervous about taking the car apart doing itDid it. I still need to finish the wireless charger area.
Wow that’s a pretty good job!!!!Did it. I still need to finish the wireless charger area.
It didn't last long. It looked great in a lot of areas, but ultimately it would not lay down in the handle portion of the center console. So I ended up just getting it commercially painted gloss black that is extra durable with some gloss flakes. The ex wife took the car so can't show you much anymore.Wow that’s a pretty good job!!!!
