Just added Carbridge to a spare iPhone so I can mirror it to the navigation screen. FYI requires your phone to be jailbroken

Nice job! I've been debating to do the same, but in reality, I've wondered how much I'd actually use it (other than standard CarPlay apps). Let us know how much you actually use it in real life. While it's cool to be able to watch videos on the screen, in reality, everyone would prefer to just watch videos on their phone or tablet.

do you just hotspot wifi the spare phone to your regular phone to get internet connection?

It’s great for the kids to watch for long road trips and you can use all of your phone apps on the screen vs your phone. You can see your text messages etc.

Exactly, I use hotspot.

Whoa thats pretty sweet. I may have to do the same with an old iphone I have! I can play videos for the kids I assume the audio goes over the car speakers as well?

I went ahead and jailbroke my main phone. Carbridge works as advertised. I use it more than I realized (not for videos, though). Nice to be able to open the Starbucks app and place a mobile order from my Telluride screen
