If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Certified pre-owned SX-P Telluride

We will be lowering the pre-owned SX-P Moss/dune and Tow package with around 7,000 miles to $46,995. Just wanted to give everyone on the forum first chance before it reflect online tomorrow. If you are interested or have any questions please email me Mitch.Weiland@luthernissankia.com.
Oh awesome! Same price as a brand new one!

man greed has no limits
Would it be better if the telluride didn’t hold its value ? And take a $5-10k hit within the first year like 99% of vehicles out there. If prices continue like it has been for almost a year then it’s only helping current owners. Owners will get more for trade in and have more equity if/when they trade it in.

What did you give the guy who traded it in? Lol

Seems like a fair price.

A new SX-P with this configuration should be above $48,200 now. Potentially a bit more.

Still getting 10 year warranty, etc.

We just got a Black Copper/Dune SX-P Tow package with 8,100 miles. Asking $47,995. Please email if interested.
**SOLD**

Interesting. Apparently with the Telluride as miles go up, the price goes up. I'm gonna wait until mine hits 25,000 miles, then sell it for $52,995. Sorry everyone, I guess i'm just spoiled because I only paid MSRP. Yea, yea, supply and demand...

Luther Kia originally listed the moss / dune at that price, and then lowered it by $1000 before selling. A new one with the Black Copper / Dune Spec as listed should be around $48,600 MSRP - and could top $49,000 depending on factory installed options. So, $47,995 is a fair ask - especially because it's certified - so same 10-year warranty. I expect that an interested buyer will be able to negotiate the asking price downward... but they know the market. Already sold the moss/dune combo.

Just like selling a house. Try asking as much as you can. After time you have to reduce the asking price. If we don’t sell for a month like the moss/dune we will lower the price. We do this on every car we sell. Not just the telluride.

I have mixed feelings on this. I get what you're saying. And ordinarily I'm a fan of maximizing profit and of the impacts of supply and demand. But reputation and long terms relationships also matter. I can tell you that when we go to buy a car in the future, I'm way more likely to go back to the dealership that sold me my vehicle than the other Kia dealerships that were trying to sell above MSRP. The dealership I went through could have charged more than MSRP, but are selling at MSRP (I got it for less).

But we’re not selling for above MSRP

It wasn't directed to your business practices. It was more a response to your comment of "asking as much as you can" and the fact that dealerships are out there charging above MSRP. And yes, I include dealer add ons (not Kia options or accessories) as going above MSRP. When I was negotiating with the dealership I ultimately ended up buying from, the sales person said that no one in their right mind would be discounting the Telluride and "losing money." I said that while discounting may mean not making as much money, dealerships providing a discount were by no means losing money. Even with a $1000+ discount, dealerships are still making money (especially if the car doesn't really stay on the lot).

Just a little miscommunication or miss understanding on my part. "Asking as much as you can" is my reference towards pre-owned not new.

Have to wonder why people are dumping SXP's w/ 6-10k miles on them. Wonder if it's either the payments too high for some, the fun wore off, or if there are other reasons and feel like they basically got the car for very little $ for 7-8 months before selling it. Just seems odd to me. Most people wouldn't get rid of a car they like unless there are extenuating circumstances.

To each their own I guess.
