• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I obviously would love to have the Canadian All Weather Cargo Mat but seeing how insane the price was, I couldn't do it. I tried the carpeted mat as a stop gap hoping the USA gets the mat in the future but everything just slides so easily on it.

One day, I went to Lowes and bought a 2x3 rubber mat for my garage floor, laid it down in the cargo area and then went to the grocery store on my way home. Viola! All my bags stayed in place, the mat didn't move, it was fantastic! So, that mat stayed in the car for weeks. I bought another one to bring home and it fit right behind it with the 3rd row down. So then I thought, well, I saw a 3x4 version of that same mat so I bought that too.

These aren't total coverage but the small mats are like $12 and the big ones are like $22. They're thin, relatively light weight, cheap and easy to shake out. One thing I will say, my Lowes was out of the small ones, I ordered two online after I bought the first just because I really liked them and of the two I ordered, one was nice and tacky on the bottom and one was not so it didn't hold as strong on the floor. Could have been dustier or older stock.

I'll post the links and some photos, do what you will with the info, I just wanted to share a cheap alternative, particularly if you're like me and holding out hope that we get access to the AW mat in the US. And then you've got some nice rubber mats to use around the house if you upgrade.

A tarp is even better. You can fold it up when not in use. Spread it out as much as needed. Cover the top of the bumper to protect the bumper when loading/unloading. You can easily pull it out and shake it out or wash it off. And you can even spread it out enough to have the side fold up to make sure everything stays on the mat and the sides are protected.
