  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Consider the Price Gouging Officially Over

I'm dying for a haircut right now. When the stay at home order is lifted, haircuts will be the new toilet paper. Unavailable everywhere.
Amen, I had to cut my own hair and royally messed it up. Can't wait till the order is lifted LOL

I wish the FBI would step in to do something about dealers marking up Telly’s like they did for this guy price gouging face masks.

It's as simply as supply and demand. When people are ordering and willing to wait months for a vehicle, they will sell it for as much profit as possible. The reviews and awards help bolster their position. If you think the price is too high, try and find another suv with the same value and tell me what you can get it for. I bet it its more.

Amen. Except, you can get equal value with the Hyundai Pailsade. You simply have to choose a feminine look rather than a masculine look.

Yes, that is equal for a better price......and you nailed the difference, masculine vs feminine

Honestly...if the market tanks and you need a new car - it will be very conceivable you could get a two year certified Suburban loaded to the gills for less than a new Telluride. These types of dynamics are going to wreck havoc on the industry. Going to be a long climb out. We are still committed to the Telluride we have on order - but I have to admit - I am glad mine wasn't delivered and force us to sign the papers today. The extra months I have give the economy time to sort this COVID-19 disaster out. We typically pay 50% of the purchase price of our vehicle purchases and I kind of like having a bunch of cash in the bank right now...even though I haven't lost my job.

I'm willing to pay MSRP and I still can't get one!
Yeah with the plant shutdown it offsets the fall in demand. Have you considered an Audi Q7? You gotta figure luxury manufacturers would be the hardest hit during recessions and be willing to part with inventory at steep discounts.

You're right.....I looked at the Audi Q 7 loaded, Cadillac XT6, Base and the Buick Avenir and can get all three for the same price people are paying for the Telly. They are 14% below MSRP right now. Go to TrueCar.com and see for yourself. Albeit, The Cadi is the base model, but still a good deal.

Where is that self-proclaimed economist that was on here a while back trying to give a lesson on supply and demand by building a case that the Telluride market would stay the same or the price would actually increase ? LOL

Where are the sales transactions for Tellurides that show major discounts? Not there yet. Still not enough supply. That being said, manufacturers with significant inventory like Ford will likely need to make significant price reductions. Think Explorer STs and Aviators. Among others... definitely will be some deals to be had. 2019 Q7s starting negotiations at -10k so far.

Been cutting my own hair with a pair of scissors for 14 years now. Cut it today. No problem!

This was my reply when the dealership reneged on the sticker price.

Dane -- Thanks for the quote. But the quote is contradictory with the sticker price that you have on the car. Your website provides that information. Charging $6k over sticker is ludicrous and insulting.

Before you drone on about how sought after the car is, you seem to have forgotten that there are thousands of cars sitting on lots because there are unwilling buyers due to covid19. I am certain you know this. While I commend your tenacity in trying to seize an opportunity given the demand for the car, please understand, I don't need it that badly and I will wait until the market is flush with Dark Green Moss Kia Telluride SX with the Prestige package. More importantly, I will buy it from a dealer that is not looking to price guage me.

If you want to honor the sticker price on the car, then please let me know.
