  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... So I bought my Telluride about a month ago and got a great deal from a local dealership. Shortly thereafter I signed up for consumer reports for something unrelated and noticed they have a car buying service run by TrueCar. Just out of curiosity, I searched up the Telluride to see what they were offering. The service shows you some detailed pricing info regarding Tellurides in your area and hooks you up with participating dealer to get their best price-similar to Costco’s car buying service. I didn’t intend to initiate contact with dealers, but I did, and now I have some quotes from local dealers for an SX. The best quote I received was from the dealer I bought from and the sales person I worked with! Lol. The interesting part was the dealer quoted a $2000 discount off the Telluride from the dealer independent of manufacturers rebates. This was essentially the same deal I received but I had to work with them for an entire day to get there. If anyone’s interested I would suggest trying it out. You can sign up for a monthly subscription for like $7 to use this service then cancel after you purchase. I’m not saying it’s the best deal out there but it might alleviate some headaches for those of you that don’t like negotiating with sales people. I happen to enjoy it but I’m not quite right in the head. Happy hunting!

None of the dealerships in the Phoneix area are participating in the Costco car purchase program. Not sure if there are any that are with True car program.
