• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Can anyone share the cost for the dealer 7,500 mile service?
Our first one won't be at our purchase dealer so we will be paying for it.
We are in California.

To maintain the factory warranty, it is sufficient to change the oil and filter.
You do not have to do this at the dealer, you can do it at any certified mechanic or car service. You can change it yourself too.
IMPORTANT: use the recommended oil viscosity and keep the receipt.

Whatever the going rate for an oil change is. At 7,500 miles you shouldn't need anything else although any dealer will always try to add something else...

I would guess somewhere around $59.99 for an SUV with a V6 standard oil (conventional or synthetic blend 5W-30 rating preferably ACEA A5 for optimal fuel efficiency, full synthetic is not required) and oil filter replacement. If you need a new air filter and don't want to do it yourself, some Kia service departments charge $20 for the air filter and replacement. I am at almost 30K miles and about to have my fourth free oil change that I got from the vehicle purchase and that will be my last free one. If you don't rotate the tires yourself you might want to see if they will do that included with the oil change and get it done at a regular interval. I also went with the K&N cleanable air filter so I check the air filter more often than 7,500 miles. I would agree with @Kwim if you don't go to a dealer so that it's recorded in the Kia service records, keep your receipts or go to the same place that will keep your records digitally for you if needed. After the dealer I go to a Firestone Autocare that will print all my vehicle service history upon request in case I ever have show it to a dealer regarding a warranty claim. Also if you drive more and put harder miles on the Telluride you might want to consider every 5,000 miles. But I'm sticking with normal driving condition recommendation in the manual of 7,500 miles and doing tire rotations at the same time. On my Hyundai sedan I do oil changes every 10,000 miles with tire rotations every 5,000 miles.

oil change and tire rotation.
free to 59 id say depending on what oil they use
(we always get our first one free from our dealer)

With this being a GDI engine, I'm concerned about carbon buildup, has anyone gone full synthetic? Has it helped? How much was it a the dealer?
