• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Crashing my brand new telluride with a deer !!!!

Oh man, sorry to see this. Hope you get it fixed like new.

I collide with a deer yesterday with my brand new Telluride.
So sorry, please keep us informed of your repairs. Curious how long it takes.

Oh man...deer are so stupid! Sorry about your luck. Hopefully you get it back soon.

Dang!!! That totally is a bummer. Sorry to hear this! Hopefully the repair process goes smoothly.

Ouch. And on an SX too! 😢 Good thing it didn’t crash through your windshield. Did any emergency braking kick in when the deer jumped in front of you? How fast were you going?

I hope you at least got a 10 pointer for your trophy room.

Hope nobody was hurt. Good luck with the repair. I'm sure it'll be just fine. Be sure to work with a shop that has experience aligning the lane keep / adaptive tech. Just as important as the body work.

God damn it, a life was taken yesterday and you guys are here moaning about a depreciating asset that’s going to get fixed like new by insurance?

I know, sorry, couldn’t resist. :ROFLMAO:

Glad that no one was hurt.

Keep us posted, please.

I receive a call today from the garage and there is a problem with electrical harness that they have to replace because one of the airbag sensor wire broke. Kia will only start the production of this item in maybe 2 weeks and with the shipping to canada my Telluride will be ready....maybe in august.

That has been my worry. Did they give you a loaner?

The deer jump right in front of me and I applied the brake in a second. No time for the emergency braking to go on.

Would if have sucked any less on an EX or LX?

Damn, OP. That royally sucks. I'm sorry this happened and really hope there are not long delays in getting the parts to fix it. I smashed my rear glass a couple weeks ago and it took about a week to get the part and then Safelite installed it a few days later. Keep us posted on how long it takes to get fixed.

No, would have sucked for any model for sure. My only concern was simply availability for SX unique parts having the potential to delay repair even further. I'm hoping for a speedy recovery for both vehicles!!!

Yes, that makes sense. My glass is fixed but now it's at the dealership because the rear wiper and motor are broken, apparently. :(
