• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Had this delivered yesterday between conference calls and never even drove it or popped the hood-i've done this with no issues before and dealer was good to work with. A few hours later I took it for a test drive and was intrigued by the new car odor-later on I popped the hood and found this....

I knew I smelled coolant and was surprised by this and just thought somebody spilled it and never cleaned it up-since i had no coolant leak in driveway yesterday and it was dry. Dealer scooped it up this morning and just let me know they found a pin hole leak in one of the hoses and will have it back to me shortly. I've worked mostly my entire career in the auto industry for various OEM's and don't get to excited about these kind of things. Glad I caught it and also glad I purchased the vehicle from a local dealer and not the guy 200 miles away!

That's gotta suck! It looks like it's almost coming from the thermostat housing or right at the junction between the hose and the housing. At least you were able to quickly identify it and have it repaired.

There were some earlier unrelated reports of coolant smell.
