• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
    If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Dead Pedal Removal?

I'm a very tall guy with big feet and always want as much leg/foot room I can get. Does anybody know what type of structure the dead pedal is made of? Is it something that would be removable, or is it metal which is permanently connected the the rest of the floor structure? If anybody happens to have pics of what it looks like under the carpet, that would be amazing!

Still waiting for my order to come in, so hoping all of you current owners can let me know!
 
My guess is it's metal and part of the floor panel. It also seems the plastic piece that your feet would touch is part of the floor carpet carpet.
