  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... My local dealership tells me they will not sell a Telluride to me without door edge guards and pulse brake warning, and are adding on a cost of $695 for these two options. For a vehicle already north of 40K, this seems ridiculous. I guess they can do whatever they want to pad their profit.

Hmmm sounds like 2 week old fish smells... I finally got my SXP ( after 4 months) about 2 weeks ago. The dealer never mentioned they HAD to put on their choices BEFORE I took possession.. Since I received it... I have put on 350 miles and I had the body Ceramiced ( not by car dealer) and the interior UV protected. Aside from the crappy weather we now have... it is a Black on Black and shines like an Ebony Mirror. One more thing I will be adding soon is tint on the driver/passenger windows. I got a slip from my Doctor so ..in my state...it will be legal. Tint will be the same as the windows in the back.

As a recommendation to my fellow T-Ride owners... (and anyone else) check your states allowable tint level regulations.. Ours if 70% allowable light in. The other..IF you get pulled over by the Po Po... take the time to LOWER your front windows... weather permitting enough that he/she can see your face. It will make the LEO VERY nervous on the approach to a vehicle that he can't see through the front side windows... Approach can be...hands on pistol grip and snap off. Just do yourself and the LEO a favor.. Roll the damned thing down for vision. Be safe for all involved. "Murdered out" windows make them nervous. ( added info...IF you have a Conceal Carry Permit..the LEO can find out on his/her puter so... keep yer hands visible.)

Oh and I am enjoying the T-Ride and am trying to learn the options and settings. That damned Operators Manual is bigger than the Gutenberg Bible LOL. One option many are surprised with...Hot and Cold air blowing on yer butt in both rows of Captains Chairs.. LOL . As of right now, my wife is afraid to drive it. Maybe later.

Below is after the ceramic coat ( photo Reflection..) The coating is good for 7 years and NO WAXING.

This is very sound advise. I once got pulled over at night, in the rain, in a 4Runner that had 5% tint all the way around (except the front windows). Legal in my state by the way. Needless to say you couldn’t see inside, even in bright sunlight.

I knew that the officer wouldn’t be able to see inside so I rolled down all the windows (including the rear hatch) as a courtesy and both our safety. As a result of me doing this, I think he fealt appreciative so he just gave me a warning.

Yes, they can. You can walk...
