Disappointed in Kia Canada... they won't take my money yet again.

Greetings all.

Sorry to rant, but I am at my frustration level...

I want to buy/factory order a 2021 Telluride SX-L Nightfall Edition... Normally that should be a no brainer, but wait, Nightfall edition is NOT available in Canada.

Same thing happened when I wanted buy one last year, with the black factory Kia rims from the 2020's. "Not available in Canada", so I said screw it, I will wait for 2021 when they should be available.

Last week, I walked into a Kia dealer here in Calgary, Alberta, and they had no idea what i was talking about when i told them I wanted a SX-L Nightfall Edition. They looked into it and "Nope, not available in Canada"

I said really, can you ask? willing to factory order. Next day guy calls me back after talking to his Kia Canada rep and "Kia has no plans on selling this model in Canada"

For a brief while I considered buying one from the USA and bringing it to Canada, but bringing new vehicles over the border is a nightmare these days, even if was possible to cross the border.

So here I sit again, a year later, willing to buy the Telluride I want, and not being able to.

Any Canadian/Alberta dealers around that can help me out or what?

Or do I just cave and get something less, always wondering what if? Or even a different vehicle all together. I am pretty upset about this whole deal to be truthful.

I have an attachment to the actual name "Nightfall" being a longtime and dedicated Destiny 1/2 player, so once I heard the name, i wanted it.

Sucks that sometimes you can't get what you want in life I guess.

Canadians now have the option for the Nightfall Edition (BSE)

I just received an email for my 2021 order and the Telluride is now available in an all black edition like it is in the US. The MSRP is $55695! The email sent to me referred to this trim as (BSE) Black Styling Edition - (No Nappa Option)

Yes I have been active in the Canadian Telluride thread, and we have several people confirming that they have been told it's available, but yet my dealer still saying it's not, but are investigation.

I might need to switch dealers pretty quickly.

I ordered one a week later and had one in my driveway 6 weeks after I posted this thread. (see my signature for dates)

You should look through the "Canadian 2021 Telluride", lots of info in there.

From what I know the SXL Nightsky is NOT available here only SX ,Nightsky which deletes the Napa , dark headliner ,etc I was in my dealer yesterday looking for exactly that and was shown both

You are incorrect..

The Nightsky version is SX-Limited, (ALL Nightsky's in Canada are SX-Limited) and there is a SX version and a SX-Limited that is not Nightsky. Nappa is only available on SX-Limited (Non Nightsky), and not an option on Nightsky or base SX.

It's a strange decision for Kia not to offer Nappa on it's highest trim, but turned out perfectly for me, as I wanted SX-Limited and Nightsky options, but had no need for Nappa.

Don't get confused with USA, which have EX and SX versions of Nightsky (Nightfall)

yes , confusing . I want the dark headliner and Nappa , so Im going to go with an SXL and get the black Telly logos front and back , aftermarket black wheels and Brenthon badges .

Cool, but badges and logos are the same thing are they not?

Also the wait for SX-L Non Nightsky's with Nappa are super long right now, just so you know.

was told 3-4 weeks by the GM yesterday ?? check out the store here and you'll see the black Telly logos and Brenthon badges ....................I'll be trading my Stinger GT so I'm not in a rush

The way you posted it, seemed like 2 separate items ("Get the Black Telly Logos, wheels, and Brenthon"), these are different logos, I assumed you were talking about actual Black Kia logos (Nightsky version). , but I understand what you are saying now. "Get the black Brenthon Telly Logos"

I did the Brenthon badges on my wifes Sportage and her previous Sorento , its a good alt to the Kia
