• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Coincidentally while I was at the dealer to get an oil change I noticed scraping noise when I opened the front passenger door to grab some belongings before handing the key over. Upon close look, I saw the bottom corner of the black plastic trim has lifted and rubbing against the foam in-between the body panels.

I pointed thisto the servicer rep so they can fix it while they are doing the oil change as I thought the adhesion on the plastic trim just lifted because of the cold weather. At the end of the service, they informed me that the door has shifted (for unknown reasons) which caused the trim to rub against the foam. I was told that they will need to order replacement foam and door trim since they were already damaged and once the parts come in, they will send my car to a body shop for door re-alignment.

I looked closely at the space between the front door and rear door and I can see the top has maybe 1mm larger gap than the bottom. I would assume that over time, the weight of the door would have an opposite effect. It just doesn't make sense to me.

I know it i not a major issue but is still frustrating and somewhat concerning for this to happen to a 5 month old vehicle.

Is that a finger painted arrow you drew in the corner? What's the thing inside the gap?
