• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Posting on all the "vibration" threads because I am PI**ED

Hi all.
Just an FYI:
I had/have the 60mph-75mph vibration on my 2020 Telluride for the last 2 years or so. I thought it was "road noise" initially, did not pay attention to the pattern (shame on me).

After it getting progressively worse, to the point where I could not even see anything in the rear view mirrors because of the whole body vibration (at 60 - 75mph), I finally did some research on line and saw "the issue". I took it in asking for them to check it out for this issue and heard back the next day from the dealer that the vehicle was "unsafe to drive". The "left and right inner CV boots" are leaking as well as the "differential seals". I asked if this was the cause of or the result of the vibrations and they said "yes that is the reason"... so... ok? FYI all.. sad there is no recall.

Ok, just heard back (2 weeks later) that after finally receiving the above listed parts and replacing them, they found that "the front differentials"? needed to be replaced as a result of this vibration issue. eergh! At least the Kia dealer has taken care of me and has has been paying for a rental since the issue started. Have to give Chula Vista Kia some props, and especially Carlos, my rep, for taking care of me since I brought it in

Same thing over here. We bought new tires...it is still vibrating and shaking the whole car. It usually happens at high speeds but is not constant. Sometimes it lasts along time, then goes away and comes back 20 - 30 min later. We notice it more on the freeway and especially when we have longer road trips. It is scary!

Can I get a sanity check here? '20 Telle SX AWD, 72K miles, vibrates at highway speeds when under constant throttle (i.e. cruise engaged), most frequent at 70mph. Family just wrapped up a 2,000 mile road trip so I am very familiar. TSB states: IMPORTANT: evaluate vibration replicating customer's specific conditions as close as possible (speed, throttle, etc.) starting at 60 mph gradually to 75 mph.

My dealer > test drove at 55 MPH (max speed they are allowed to drive customer vehicle) did not tell me. Dealer did not experience a vibration (duh). Dealer removed the propeller shaft and test drove again (I assume at 55 MPH). Again, no vibration...duh. Following the workflow on the TSB, dealer conducted Road Force Vibration (RFV) test and determined tires were balanced. No surprise there, I just had them rebalanced at a tire shop a few days earlier to eliminate that as a potential cause of the then mysterious vibration.

The didn't replicate the problem so lets assume they took it at face value that the vibration is present at highway speeds. Vibration present > prop shaft removed > vibration gone > RFV performed shows tires balanced. The only logical conclusion is that the prop shaft was the culprit, right?

The dealer concluded that the prop shaft was NOT the problem and charged me $170 for the RFV test. I don't follow their logic.

Sorry this bring an oldish post back up. Has anyone had this issue "show up" down the road? We have a 2020 that we purchased in January of 2020. Had no issues with high way speeds or accelerations for 4 years plus. Got new tires in November and have had issues since. I'm pretty confident that this is not a tire issue given that we've had them road forced balanced/checked 3 times now and aligned twice. Vibration issue is similar to what I'm seeing here. Highway speeds. Disappears once you let off the accelerator. Will strangely disappear for several miles. On a recent 2.5 hour drive back, it was pretty consistent and bad between 60 and 85. We're going in to the dealership for diagnosis. Of course, we're right outside of the 5 year general warranty. But if what I see on the board is the issue for the vibrations, then I think the parts would be covered by the 10 year powertrain warranty.
