• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Driver Side Door Window

No but it seems to be somewhat common. I don’t drive with the windows down so I haven’t experienced this problem.

Got it.

Thanks, I'm glad I'm not alone and it's just physics plus a Kia power window motor/sensor thing :)

Yeah this whole window sensor thing is new to me. Never seen anything like it although I can understand why it’s there. Just seems like it can backfire under different conditions

We experienced this on a recent road trip. Our solution was to use the suction mount for a phone holder and pull in on the window with the suction cup while rolling it up. It worked but was annoying.

This is crazy. I am on a long road trip with my < 300 miles Telluride. We are driving probably 80 mph on the interstate (legal in MT), I roll down the driver window to feel the temperature outside. Fine enough. I roll up the window but to my astonishment, the window won't seal - the wind pressure is causing the window to bow out and not align with the grove in the door seal. Then the safety feature that reverses the closing as if an arm or something is in the way (as it should) rolls the window back down. The window will not close at all. Glad it wasn't raining. I literally had to slow down to 40 mph to get the window to close. Nothing I have ever experienced before in any vehicle. Design problem? I honestly don't know how a dealer can fix that issue. Nothing is bent and the window works fine if you are not at highway speeds. Yikes.
If you have a sunroof open it then you can close the window followed by the sunroof, that’s my fix for it for now.
