• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... About a month ago, I purchased a 2021 Telluride. Two times I have had my check engine light come on (stays lit, not flashing) and a warning appears on the car and in the UVO app. The warning diagnostic issue on UVO states:

"Powertrain: P013100: A possible condition with your Engine Control System has been detected. A full system check is recommended to be done when convenient. Please contact your local dealership to schedule an appointment."

When this first happened, I immediately contacted the dealership and they said they had not heard of this warning, but I scheduled to come in to have it checked out. The next day when driving the car, the engine light was no longer on and the UVO warning was no longer present. We thought potentially it had to do with the fuel door and the gas cap, though both appeared to be shut and secure. Now that the light is on again, I am curious if this has been a problem for anyone else or if there is an obvious answer to why this is happening. Any advice is much appreciated!

I am having this same issue! Did they resolve it for you? I am taking it in this week for further diagnostics. Of course, it resets before I get to the dealer and then we cannot re-create it. Any information would be appreciated.

Same thing is happening with my brand new 2020 Telluride. The dealership is saying it’s the quality of fuel I put in, so they drained it, put in premium fuel, turned off the check engine light and it came back on the next day. Currently waiting to see what they say next.

Hi, was this resolved with your Telluride? I am having the same issue . They said it was most likely that did not tighten the gas cap. Which I do you have to hear it click. So the light off when I left dealership . Next day back on . No response from service Dept at dealership. Taking back in . Thank you for listening just wanted to see if any other updates on your Telluride.

Kia was going to put a recorder on my car but I had to sign away their responsibility and since I wouldn't sign the release. I never heard back from them. However, I hv not had an additional problems since all of this happened. No idea, but it wasn't my fuel or gas cap!

I have a 2022 KIA Telluride and the Engine Light has come on 3 times in 3 months (less than 2000 miles on the car). Once is was the gasket on the gas cap, the next time is was some pressure valve, and 3rd time is being determined.

Yes! I had problem x5 times on my 2021 Telluride. They informed me the same thing . I insisted for them to replace it . They reported and place a ticket with Kia corporation tech. They had my vehicle 1/28 doing all kind of tests and finally replaced several things related to the emission valve etc. return med my vehicle on 2/17. They provide me with a rental. Knock on wood so far no more issues but I am monitoring closely. Hope you find results.

I’m having same issue but different code PO30400 Wondering what was your outcome

PO30400 -Computer has detected more than 2 percent variance in rpm of 2 or more cylinders. Misfire due to bad spark plug, coil, fuel injector, plug wire (s). Try different brand of gas.

Thank you very much for your reply. I’ll certainly do that and have an appt this week for service to check it out. The engine light actually went off today. I have 40,000 miles and just had my fuel injection serviced last oil change but the service was horrible at the dealership I went to so it could be something correlated to fuel injector for sure. I appreciate your help thanks

Yes, I just got my car out of the shop after of month of diagnostics and waiting on the regional office for direction and then parts. They ended up replacing the high pressure fuel pipe and other parts to determine if this will fix it. I hope this fix eliminates any further issues, if not, I hope they will make it right.

Same problem with my 2022 Telluride. Have you had any answers? Mine is in for the 3rd time now. My car vibrates and shutters at low or high speeds. Check engine light on. Code P030500 on my app. Powertrain issues apparently.

Mine was different code and took it in to dealership but conveniently the engine light went off. Thankfully I wrote code down. Dealership said my code was cylinder misfiring and corrected itself. Haven’t had issues since but I’ll keep u posted if happens again. Hopefully u get some answers as well. I believe mine was caused by gas I put in while traveling

Thank you I appreciate that. My code came up as a misfire also - dealership just called. Will post any updates for anyone else dealing with this.

They replaced a lot of stuff under the hood-the conversations are started as to what now-I have lost trust in the Telluride!
