Factory Installed Side Steps?

Just to close this out, I ended up paying $1000 to have the dealer install the side steps.....talked down from $1200. Got $500 cash back and 66 mos at 2.25% from KMF. Happy as a clam. The vehicle is beautiful and beastly, all at the same time.

Going forward, have your dealer quote the price for options that aren’t/can’t be honored at the factory due to extenuating circumstances.

KFOS IS....NOT......THE....ONLY.....OPTION....FOR....A....DEALER/REP.....TO......ORDER.....A....CAR.
Read it again, 5x slowly. There are other avenues within Kia's ordering system to request and order a vehicle than KFOS.

Just because the dealer told you or said it went into KFOS or was 'custom ordered' doesn't mean it was.

Muncie literally just filled my order, it wasn't processed through KFOS.

I suspect mine didn't transfer from kdealer to KFOS.

Lucas@Muncie emailed me on 1/4/21 that mine had been picked up by Kia and was due 1/31/21. I have a screenshot of the way he entered it into kdealer with no PIOs. Kia filled the order with carpets, cargo cover and alloy skid plate :-( I trust that Lucas didn't change my order after that screenshot. I promised Lucas that I'd be a great customer and the only contact I've initiated since ordering in September is to change my exterior color. When I pick it up, I'll ask the little questions.

Was told $690 to install running boards. I passed. Figured I could save money ordering and doing it myself

Just wondering if anyone knows whether or not the factory is still installing side steps. My VIN number has been assigned with an ETA of 12-23-20. Looking at the window sticker on failcat, the side steps I ordered were not listed. Additionally, after looking at about a hundred or so window stickers from the last two months, I didn't see any that included side steps. Makes me think the factory has decided to leave installation to the dealer?

I got ride in November and got the side steps.
