So never having owned a KIA and to be quite honest if you suggested it to me in the last 10 years I would have laughed. To me a KIA was like the Walmart of motor vehicles.
So - I am an older fellow and have had more cars than I care to talk about you could say I’m a veteran of the car wars..
Well being in the market for a larger sized SUV I did look at and test drive a new Telluride and I have to say admittedly impressed. As previously stated as a car buying veteran I was taken back at the dealers almost arrogance in saying we will sell you this for a strict MSRP. As noted I am very well familiar with markups having shopped recently for a C8 and Shelby GT500 silly markups are - well
silly. Never paid one, never will...!!!
So I was absolutely SHOCKED when the sales manager stated that to me. He said: “don’t worry we won’t be charging you the $3995 delivery fee - being as your a former LEO officer” ... huh... I said to myself what kind of shit is this fellow talking about...? I was expecting to start negotiating half or more of the hold back money and here he is talking about what a great deal he was giving me selling at the MSRP number - WHAT... ???
so I’m looking for some enlightenment before I head down to Hyundai to test drive the Paslisades...? Thanks -
