My 2022 Telluride SX AWD (and, btw, I love this car) will not brake to avoid hitting a tree or a pedestrian at low speeds. Took it to the dealer for some other work and they checked it out, did sfw update and calibration to "reactivate the system." However, I can still run right into a padded trashcan with no front braking. Same for the rear - they tell me if there is a moving/walking person to the rear it will brake - I've not managed to test that. {note: I'm certain that forward collision active assist setting is enabled} Dealer, oddly, seems unsure of what this car should do in terms of anti-slow-collision braking.
Question: Should the Telluride stop me from running into a tree or a pedestrian at low speeds?
