• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Just brought home an SX yesterday. It had the license plate bracket screw kit in the glove box but no bracket was in the vehicle. It will title it in Montana which requires a front plate but I never install them. Haven't been hassled in the four years we've had a vacation place there but I've never been pulled over either. With our previous SUV I kept the front bracket kit in the car and the front plate in case I got hassled by a cop I could install it.

So did everyone's Telluride come with the front bracket? We bought in Kansas which doesn't require a front plate but Missouri is just a few miles away and requires a front plate. Wondering if my dealer takes them out and gives them to the parts dept to make a little extra cash. The Tellurides I saw at the Missouri dealers had the bracket in the back cargo area.

I didn't ask my sales guy to give me one out of fear they would drill my front bumper and install it. I find it odd the screw kit would be included but not the plastic bracket.

the dealer should have installed it for you at your request if needed. I would take back to dealer if close enough to you if not call them and have them mail one to you. They should offer to install. Wait until you get you plates for the dealer tag will be oaky until your plates come in.

Well there's the issue. I don't want it installed. I want to have it in the car in case a cop hassles me or tickets me for not having it. I have front license plates, especially on luxury vehicle like the Telluride.

Then just ask the dealer to mail it to you. Then you can deal with 5he cops when they stop you. In Texas it is the law to have front plate on vehicle unless you have antique plates where you are only issued one plate
